As promised, having enjoyed it last year, we went again tonight, around 6:15 pm. I checked the weather forecast on Wednesday before I had bought the tickets online. I knew we were going to get snow and downpours during the day, but it was going to clear by 6 pm. So that is what we banked on. We invited two new friends from Clearlake Chorale, Ted and Chris, to join us. It was fun. The rain had mainly cleared by the time we got there. The bad weather meant that there was hardly anybody there. That was nice. We could drive at our own pace and pull over, whenever we needed, to take pictures. That is not to say it was deserted. There were others. Just that it was nit bumper-to-bumper. It was nice. The temperature was near tropical!

The lights were good. Uplifting. Kids loved them and that is what really counts. Worth the money. We even stopped and had pictures taken with Santa. All in all, a fun evening ahead of Christmas to get one into the swing of things. A good way to celebrate the Winter Solstice. This might become my Winter Solstice routine — the lights at Loudon.
