The prior ‘hire the $3,000 Facilitator’ post
with ‘Breaking News’ retraction
from Board Member Steve Miller.

This is classic. Watch this. Listen to the Chair, Sandy Wyatt, read this glowing resume. She reads about her tenure at Raymond. What is missing? Just the dates. Nothing more, nothing less.

This resume was provided to her by the Superintendent, Mr. Bill Lander, who admits, and it is on this very tape, that he knows this person. Talk about keeping the public in the dark.

Watch and be amazed. This is your elected officials at work.

That said, I feel bad for Sandy Wyatt. I don’t know her and I am not sure, and I could be wrong, but I think she is not Machiavellian. In this instance she was set up by Mr. Lander. For that I feel bad. But, she, as the Chair, must have some powers to question and censure.

Do NOT- I repeat- DO NOT-put me in the same voting block with Wyatt,Argiropolis, or Noyes. Count the number of 4-1 votes every meeting. I am a fiscal conservative with moral boundaries. I put the kids first, but I follow a moral compass. I authored a warrant article for $7mm that would have passed and taken care of all our problems today and into the next ten years. I am a liberal proponent of extraordinary and quality education (read common core) for Alton children. I do not hide in the weeds when asked where I stand. Its easy, I stand for the kids-period. I have never taken a penny in compensation for my time on the budget committee, ZBA, or school board. When you say that the school board says……..-do not automatically assume that Steve Miller says…….My vote and sincere effort will always be putting the kids in front of any personal agenda.

I know that. I invariably point that out. But in THIS VOTE, for this $3,000 Facilitator, are YOU saying that you voted against it and that it was a 3 to 1 vote? Today, with these two posts, I am only dealing with the $3,000 facilitator and who voted for it. I think, and we can check the tape, it was unanimous.

More importantly, WHEN is the Board going to have a public discussion and re-vote on hiring this $3,000 facilitator. Do you have a buy-in on the re-vote. Did somebody second your motion or wasn’t that required. Will you get a second at the meeting. Next public meeting is Sept. 16. Will Lander hire her prior to that or did you manage to put a stop to that? Thanks. Cheers, Anura
