I have been dreading this day for months.
I saw it on the news just after 6 p.m.
while dealing with more bullying at Alton Central School (ACS).
Though I was distracted and distraught about this
never ending bullying at ACS
seeing this on TV stopped me in my tracks.
I immediately had a knot in my stomach.
I knew that a very important part of my life had come to an end.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela
will always be with me
… in my mind, in my actions and in terms of what inspires me.
Thank YOU Mr, Mandela for all you did for ME.
I would be in even worse shape if not for YOUR inspiration and example.
I have cried openly for Nelson many times.
I wept the day he was released from prison.
I cried when he was sworn in as President.
I have yet to cry ‘today’.
I don’t think it has sunk in today.
I think the tears will come when I see the body.
