Pretty clear, right. I submitted my 1st payment by credit card.
Well I noticed that the monies were not taken from my credit card.
So this morning I called. After 57 minutes on hold finally got an Indian who could barely speak English!
That was great.
After putting me on hold, multiple times, he finally told me,
in broken English,
that my payment didn’t get processed.
So I opted to do it this time online, at this URL as I had received in a letter:
Very encouraging when you see this greeting!
Got the VERY SAME e-mail again. But I don’t see a transaction at the credit card end.
So to be on the safe side I filed an official complaint with the N.H. Insurance Department.
I am not going down without a fair fight.
There is NOBODY at the N.H. Insurance Dept. today!
They have taken a snow day.

It was snowing since yesterday and it was bitterly cold last night. But, as far as I can tell we didn’t get much, if any, howling winds. It was still snowing lightly when I woke up around 8:30 am this morning. Deanna and Teischan informed me that there was a LOT of snow. That we had expected. I watched CNN and CNBC while having my coffee. Things seemed dire in Boston, but we also knew that this was a southern and coastal storm. I had predicted, given our 660′ elevation, that we would get 14″. I was wrong. We got 7″ from what the tape measure said.
Did YOU know that this storm has a name? I learnt it from the U.K. press! Hercules.
Yes, we had 19″ (or more) where the plow had pushed aside snow. Plus there was some drifting by the garage doors.
We, Devanee, Deanna & I, shoveled and pushed snow
for just over an hour.
That is all it took. We cleared a path for the SUV and I shoveled the mailbox out,
with a generous drive-in area for the postman. That is my trademark. Well shoveled mailbox.
So, it wasn’t bad. There was NO WIND. Calm. Nothing was stirring.
So, we are happy. Could have been much worse.

>> Pope opposes same sex adoption

The pope’s opposition to the same sex adoption law being considered in Malta despite his famous, populist claim as to ‘who am I to judge’, is but just one example of how this pope will continue to trip up since he is playing a dangerous game: making platitudes to please the masses though he has no intention at all to change Church teaching, stance or doctrine. So while he orally panders to the gay community he stands by the book when it comes to the entrenched Catholic belief on this thorny subject. It is very confusing.
Ditto when it comes to his inflammatory remarks about wealth, capitalism and charity. I noticed that on Christmas Eve and New Years Day he was proudly wearing his five (5) gem studded GOLD pallium pins — each worth a few thousand dollars! Those are supposed to represent the rusted nails used to crucify Jesus. IF this pope was serious about wealth distribution he wouldn’t flaunt these gold pins. He would use cheap metal pins.
Ken Langone, one of the founders of Home Depot, confounds me. I see him often on CNBC. He is one of the most obnoxious (and ugly looking) men I have had the misfortune of having to witness. I typically switch channels because he upsets my stomach. But, I am glad to see that he is mad with the pope. But, to be fair as far as I can see Langone doesn’t seem to like anybody other than himself — but that is probably because he hasn’t looked in a mirror in a long time.
Anyhow, here is a small sampling of the HOT WATER that the pope is running into — and will continue to run into. Click on each to access the original. Enjoy.
