We met David Garrity when he did a free performance at Alton Central School (ACS), N.H., in 2011. It was on a Saturday afternoon. April 30, 2011.
It wasn’t packed as it should have been, but the then Principal, the delightful, competent and conscientious, Bonnie Kuras — though she lived like 90 minutes away.
It was a good, very entertaining show. When it comes to a magic show at a school it does not get any better than sawing the Principal in half. It was hilarious. The kids loved it.
David was very personable — but I am beginning to realize that this appears to be a trademark of magicians, at least the ones we have seen of late in New England. David was great with the kids.
I occasionally get automated e-mails from David. The one above I got yesterday. It is not exactly local but I felt compelled to tell people about it because David is such a great guy.
Try and catch him. You will thank me for that.
