Happened to step out around 7:20 pm to enjoy the
balmy, near-tropical evening and happened to see this beautiful conjunction.
It will be around till about 1:30 Monday morning. So try and catch it. It will be around for the next few days 7pm to 1am (I think, I haven’t checked).
Betelgeuse is the distinctly orange star at the ‘head’ of Orion. Then at the bottom you have the very bright, white star, Rigel — which I always think of as ‘Rigel Bright‘.
Have been meaning to tell you this for nearly two weeks.
Orange ‘star’ low on the Eastern Horizon around 10pm is Mars. Yes, Mars — the God of War galloping low across the sky. I try to catch it when I take the dogs out for their last outing for the day around 11pm.
The Kindle Cloud Reader takes this promise to its ultimate conclusion. You can just read it on any Browser.
One of the good folks that helped me out by reviewing “Pope John XXIII: 101 Facts & Trivia“, Mark Delaplaine of Texas, has been telling me for the last week how much he has been enjoying reading the book on his Kindle Cloud Reader. Since I have Kindle on my Android Pad, I have been checking my Kindle eBooks on the Pad rather than any other platform. But, last night I decided to give the Cloud Reader a SPIN. I was blown away. I can see why Mark has been raving about it. It is seamless and very well implemented. The rendering is excellent — and given I handcraft each of my books, painstakingly, I do know what I like them to look like. The Cloud Reader rendering is good.
So just a BIG heads-up. Give the Kindle Cloud Reader a try, you will thank me for it.
