The D-Day, June 6, 1944, ‘Battle for Normandy’,
indubitably has to be the most significant battle
ever fought in the long history of mankind.

The Allies per the express wishes of the GREAT Winston Churchill built two (2) artificial, portable harbors off the beaches of Normandy — given that that coastline was bereft of any natural or manmade ones. They fabricated all of the HUGE parts in Britain and towed them across the Channel! One harbor was used, continuously, for 10 months.

Another, oft overlooked, amazing feat on Normandy by the Amazing Allies. Celebrate, reflect and give THANKS.

The GREAT Churchill’s enigmatic, pithy but pivotal letter, from “10 Downing Street, Whitehall”,
that got it all started.
