I am kind of puzzled as to why we hadn’t heard of this Festival before. Right up our alley and we tend to be fairly au fait on events like this that happen in New Hampshire. Happen to find this, serendipitously, while searching for the musical festival in Concord. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

This sounds perfect for us. We love Portsmouth and we like this type of music — actually most type of music.

I see that there is a competing Irish Music festival in Dover that same weekend. That is mean and stupid! OK, maybe we can make both, one on one day the other the next.

And then there is the New Hampshire Highland Games at Loo — which we boycotted last year, with regret, after it had been the highlight of our year for over a decade. Not sure I could go another year without my bagpipe fix. Maybe I am already having some withdrawal symptoms. I have refrained from checking to see what their line up will be for 2014 because I am afraid that I will again be kicked in the teeth. I really don’t want to boycott the Highland Games. We are their greatest fans — or used to be until we started feeling abused and used.

A lot happening in September. Wow. It is going to be packed. Wow.
