There was a LOT of interest in ‘The Guardian’ article about ‘Arti‘ that I posted yesterday. I expected that to be the case because it brought to light, at least as far as I am concerned, the failed $46 Million investment in Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Things started to make much more sense after I had read that article — though my COMMITMENT for Market Basket and its great employees remained unchanged. I want MY market Basket back — soon. I am having cheese withdrawal.
Though I really don’t, alas, have much time to devote to this, I was still curious. So I did a bit more digging. Found the above WSJ article — published one day after ‘The Guardian’ one, no doubt prompted by that.
Wow. The machinations never end.
If the allegations are true I will remain bemused. Outright greed such as that leaves me perplexed and cold. Just heard yesterday that the brother of a Sri Lankan I know stole $40,000 from him — after he had given the brother unconditional Power of Attorney. Amazes me. This had happened four years ago and it involved the selling of land in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan I know never had a clue. He was in Sri Lanka this month and tried to sell this land only to find out that his brother had sold it 4 years ago! Amazing. Would never even occur to me to do something like that.
I want what is BEST for the Market Basket employees and THEN for us customers.
I really would like Market Basket back. It has now been over a month and I am not joking, I have major withdrawal pangs that Hannaford cannot assuage.
