Deanna took the Canon EOS Rebel T3i, with 18-55mm IS II Lens, yesterday afternoon, and took it for a spin. So first it was Alton photographer John Bishop on Thursday evening and now it was Deanna. Gives me a chance to see what kind of pictures this camera takes under different conditions and in the hands of different people.

I still have to learn to properly use this camera. IF I had time to read the 300 page manual that would be a real good start. But, this camera is growing on me. The professionals I encounter, e.g., those that take pictures at the “Great Waters” concerts, like the scintillating on on Friday, “North Shore Acappella“, make fun of it and call it a cheap and nasty. That it probably is. But this is all I can afford. So c’est la vie. I will learn to live with it. My consolation, it might be a cheap and nasty camera and I might not be anywhere close to as talented and gifted as them BUT my pictures get seen. They take all these pictures, like on Friday, and nobody sees them.

A picture I took last night.
