As I have already noted “Remembrance Day” 2014 is going to be, alas, very poignant to the Canadians. I stand with them, shoulder-to-shoulder, this year. Canada has an unique standing when it comes to November 11 given the role that their citizens played in making this day STAND OUT. Thank YOU, Canada.
I started wearing my poppies on Thursday, October 23 — which coincided with the start of the ‘The Royal British Legion’ countdown.
I think it is a grand idea for Canadians to start wearing poppies now. When I wear mine this year I will think of YOU. Go for it, with PRIDE. Send pictures. I will post them here.
IF I can only get more Americans to follow this honorable and lovely tradition.
IF any Canadians actually see this, and per the stats provided to me by WordPress (and you can look at the ‘Flag Counter’ on the sidebar, right at the bottom), Canadians are my third best constituents next to my home countries of the U.S. & U.K. — I, please, need another Canadian poppy — PLEASE. I lost one last year. I was devastated.
