I had seen a trailer for it sometime during the Summer or Fall of 2014, possibly when we went to see ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’ or “The Boxtrolls”. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be my kind of movie. I wanted to see it. Well I got the chance this weekend thanks to the free HBO preview on DirecTV. They were airing it on Thursday, right at the start of the preview window and I made sure that I got it on DVR.

It surpassed expectations. It was in the mould of ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’. Lots of exquisite British humor. Tony Revolori, as ‘Zero’, though Californian born of Guatemalan extraction, does a very passable imitation of a subservient Indian. I had to go look him up. Loved his performance.

The movie was sumptuously shot and produced. The whole visual experience was a delight to the eye.

Wonderful experience. Entertaining and relaxing. Exactly what a movie should be. Funny as heck. No wonder it has grossed hundreds of millions. This movie will go far. I will watch it again — and I do not do that often.

If you haven’t seen it, make sure to see it. You will thank me for that recommendation. Enjoy.
