This is the FIRST MetroCast Internet outage I have experienced since I switched over to their 75/5 Mbps service on January 7, 2015.

So first outage in 48 days.

I just (11:25) called MetroCast. The greeting message said that they are experiencing intermittent Internet outages all over New Hampshire!

I was calling them to find out if the 12:15 outage was due to planned maintenance. TDS used to do that. Right around midnight they would have a shutdown for 20 to 40 minutes to do maintenance. I, after out 8 calls, finally managed to get them to understand that some of us are still working at that time and that they should wait till say 2 am or 3 am. And that happened.

Now I will have to work on MetroCast.

So this is why I couldn’t do any posts last ‘night’. My new schedule for posting is 12 am to 1 am. I lost my connection while I was mid-sentence writing about Alton’s pathetic Superintendent, Billy Lander, whose English would not pass master in 6th Grade!

Alton Central (ACS) School & YET LLC: William (‘Bill’) Lander, Not A Man Of Words Nor A Man Of His Word.

He uses ‘relative’ when the correct word is ‘relevant’!

And he omits a vital ‘to’!

And he is in charge of educating our children?

What is it with School Board Members and ACS Administrators and their English?

If you have problems with English — see here and here — do what I do,
take classes. Go sit in on some 5th & 6th Grade classes.

At least you will learn some vocabulary and grammar.

English is a beautiful language. It should NOT be butchered.

And NOTE he said “… I will be using my Blog on a regular basis …”.

So when was Lander’s last post on his blog?

August 28, 2014?

That is exactly 6 months ago.

What has he been doing since then, other than forming YET and running to the bank to get money for his LLC?

6 months. Not a single post?

I guess that is HIS idea of regularity?

This would be a joke if it was NOT so sad and serious.

Also check his ‘Construction’ post of August 14, 2014.

“… I am please to inform you ….”

“Please” ….

Please? What is he doing now. Poking FUN at Indians because that is how Indians speak? Well if he thinks I am Indian, he is wrong AGAIN. But, what’s new?

This is getting kind of technical, and I will grant it that this is WAY BEYOND Lander’s pay grade, BUT if you really know your English you will know that “We have been able to work out ANY snags …” is not right. Given that it is being talked about in the past tense the snags have already been determined, so ‘any‘ is no longer applicable. But they only teach you stuff like that in English 102 and Lander has YET to pass English 101.

This should not be allowed. Heaven forbid if any of our kids read this.

Also check the ‘blank’, i.e., EMPTY, “New Edline document” posts. Nothing there. Well that might be apropos. “Nothing there”.

This is just pathetic.

And I am told he is the BEST qualified educator in New Hampshire? PLEASE!
