** So this is the ‘delicate’ question that everybody is pussyfooting around (for obvious reasons), was co-pilot Andreas Lubitz on one or more antidepressants — and many (if not most, including Fluoxetine (Prozac), Citalopram (Celexa), Sertraline (Zoloft), Paroxetine (Paxil) and Escitalopram (Lexapro)) are now suspect as causing some degree of suicidal tendencies.

** Much is being made of all the sick notes he had, and that to me is what begs the question. Why would he get sick notes and then not use them? To get the sick notes he would have to see a doctor. RIGHT? Agreed? Why would be voluntarily go to see a doctor, that often, IF he wanted to keep his sickness secret? I will tell you. He needed to get prescription renewals for his medication. Now everything adds up. He probably had to go once a month to get a new prescription. He was given a note each time he went.

** If a doctor was prescribing him antidepressants, of course that doctor is guilty — and guilty as heck. He/she should be arrested forthwith. I do NOT buy for a second that a doctor would not know that Lubitz was a pilot. Come on. He has been a pilot for years.

** You have to be able to test for antidepressants use — with a blood or urine test. This has to become mandatory.

** In my reckoning this is likely to have been the THIRD (3rd) aircraft downing due to a pilot wanting to commit suicide in the last 18 months! Yes, I am including Malaysian Air MH370. I guess most of you never heard of the Moza LAM flight 470 that crashed in Namibia in November 2013. Same scenario, only difference was that in this case it was the co-pilot that left to go to the bathroom.
