These the 2016 4th of July fireworks were not really up-to-par by Wolfeboro4th of July” or “First Night” standards. There were just 2 people lightning the fireworks and they appeared to be struggling — even before the show started, given that it was about 8 minutes late.

As always Wolfeboro spends decent money to get some good, spectacular ‘rockets’. The problem, always, is that of setting them off. We, in Wolfeboro and Alton, continue to persevere with manual ‘set-off’ rather than computer-controlled ‘automatic firing’. And that really was the problem in Wolfeboro this year. The display was sporadic, erratic and lacked rhythm. It was actually pretty painful waiting for the rockets to be fired — in ultra slow-motion. But the display was good.

I took over 370 pictures with the Fuji X-E2s. I mercilessly whittled it down to 277. I am sharing just 18 of these — for now. I can’t even claim that these are the best 18. Just 18 that I kind of grabbed at random. [Sorry. Crazy busy.]

All 277 usable pictures I took.
