10,000th Picture With My Fuji X-E2s Camera — In 76 Days!

by Anura Guruge

Click picture to ENLARGE.

Attribution WILL be enforced.

Exactly the 10,000th picture shot with my Fujifilm X-E2s.

Filenames have cycled back to ‘DSCF0001’!

I got the camera, from Amazon, on May 18, 2016 — and didn’t start using it until the next day. But, I will take May 18 as my ‘Day 1’ with this camera.

I had had it for 45 days (1 month and 2 weeks) when I shot my 5,000th, picture with it.

5,000 in 45 days works out to 111.11 pictures a day. If I go with 44 days (which is the real number) it comes to 113.6 pictures a day — and I did NOT miss a single day.

I went from 5,000 to 10,000 in 31 days!

This comes out at 131.5 pictures a day.

I am sure there are others that take more pictures a day. But that is a LOT for me.

I am nearly done with this camera. I have had it with Fuji.

But I do NOT feel too bad. 10,833 pictures (since I shot 875 pictures today) is a fair amount. I kind of feel that I have got my monies worth.

Pope Francis, who turns 80 on December 17, 2016, probably did play ping pong (i.e., table tennis) at some point in his life. With part of his right lung removed (when he was in his early 20s) this would have been a good sport for him. He was sports mad, particularly when it came to soccer, in his youth and is still an ardent soccer fan. Then there are his ‘flat feet’ with the fallen arches which are causing him increased grief — now coupled with sciatica. Again ping pong would have suited him.

Just not sure whether he plays ping pong, as pope, at 79. He might lob a few shots for TV and charity. Not sure he would want to get into a full match in papal vestments. Might not look very papal.

But …

As with Trump anything is possible with this pope.

“Aleve Direct Therapy” TENS Unit Appears To Live Up To Its TV Commercial Claims.

by Anura Guruge

A version of the “Aleve Direct Therapy” TV commercial — this one on “iSpot.tv”. Click to access and play. It will give you an idea of what the TV commercials claim.

I got Deanna a wireless “Aleve Direct Therapy” TENS unit, from Walmart, on July 19, 2016 (on our way back from “Polar Caves“). As I had said before Deanna already had a professional-grade TENS unit — but it was one with lots of wires that she didn’t like to use since the wires would come loose and give her shocks. The wireless “Aleve” (made by the curiously named “Hollywog” corporation) seemed the perfect solution which is why I was willing to buy one — though anything to do with her back is supposed to be covered by her “Workman’s Comp” insurance in that she hurt her back at work.

The Aleve Unit only comes with one set of gel pads. Deanna found a good deal for 10 gel pads, on Amazon, from Hollywog. We had those delivered early last week.

Last Friday morning she was putting on the Aleve JUST as their TV commercial came up (most likely on MSNBC). So we both watched it — she midstream in the act of pasting the unit to hre back.

When the commercial was over I asked her how the Aleve claims matched up with what she had experienced.

She said that the unit works and works as well as they claim on TV!

That, to me, is a pretty good endorsement given all the harsh things I had heard over the years about her wired TENS unit.

So that is good.

Just wanted to share that with you just in case you were thinking of getting one.

For the price and given the money-back guarantee I would definitely try it out.
