Think first, then research, then THINK again. Think for the pleasure of thinking.
Yesterday’s ‘Think’: ‘538’ is the number of ‘electors’ in the U.S. Electoral College — which, in the end, is the body that formally elects the U.S. President. The ‘538’ corresponds to the 435 Representatives and 100 Senators, plus the three additional electors from the District of Columbia. The candidate that gets a majority of the 538 Electoral College votes is automatically the President. 1/2 of 538 = 269. Hence, the magical ‘270’ number. The absolute majority when there are 538 votes.
This is STUPID pricing.
$400 more than the Fuji X-T2 and the Fuji is an APS-C sensor.
Same pricing as the Nikon D500.
I would pay $2,000, body only, for for a Nikon D500. But for a “Four Thirds” Olympus.
I think it is at least $200 overpriced.
Not that I was thinking of getting one. I am STICKING with APS-C. Thanks.

What a great name. Saw him (and his name) on TV Wednesday morning.
“Confessore” — ‘confessor’ in Italian.
Not a common name in the U.S. According to the last U.S. census there were less than 250 people, living in the U.S., with that last name.
What a great name for an investigative reporter. Make them confess.
Would love to know the origins of the name. Definitely some clerical connotations — or one of his distant ancestors, way back, was a noted ‘Confessor of the (Christian) Faith’.
I wonder if he knows where this name comes from.
Anywho … I just wanted to share.
Have been meaning to document names like this, that catch my fancy, so that others too can ponder and marvel.
