Michael Bourgeois, co-owner with Julie Gnerre — and Julie’s husband.

It was Devanee’s 17th birthday and Giuseppe’s, which she has known for 15-years of her life, is her perennial favorite. So, yet again, that is where we went.

As always it was a delightful experience. Amazing, palpable congeniality. That Michael was playing was an unexpected bonus.

Had our usual: calamari x 2, spinach rolls x 2, large pizza for the girls, beef minestrone soup for I and then dessert for the girls. There were no complaints. It was good.

Thanks Julie.

This is their FIRST Mid-Autumn Festival.

In the past they have done Chinese festivals in February to coincide with the Chinese New Year.

This should be GOOD, very good. The UNH Confucius Institute specializes in EXCELLENCE.

Tickets are going FAST. But, try. You might be lucky.

Copying Donald J. Trump, President, I Get Twitter Handle: @RealAnuraGuruge.

Click to check IF you don’t believe me. @RealAnuraGuruge

Way too many FAKE guruges around Social Media these days. So, I decided to take a leaf from Donald J. Trump’s book. Let’s face it, whatever you may think of him, he is unbelievably successful at everything he does. So, though it is WAY TOO LATE, I am going to try and learn as much as I can from Mr. Trump.

Getting the Twitter handle was easy and but the first step.

I stopped using Twitter 3-years ago. But, of late, I keep on seeing that I need to Tweet. So, I needed a new handle. So, I took Mr. Trump’s lead.

The next step is to replace my current, balding toupee with a blonde Mr. Trump wig. I think it might be what I need. I have realized that my bad toupee has held me back.

The New, High-Tech, Automated Tractor Pull Sled At Sandwich Fair (NH) 2017.

Sandwich Fair New Hampshire flower show winner Anura Guruge

I like watching and taking pictures of tractor pulls. I invariably try and make it to the tractor pull arena at Sandwich Fair if circumstances (i.e., ‘family’) permits. So, luckily, I did make it to the pull on Sunday — as you can see from the pictures.

The BIG, bright red sled was NEW. I had never seen one before. I checked my pictures from last year. I did NOT make it to the pull in 2016. I did in 2015. Checked my pictures. They didn’t have that sled in 2015. They were still using yellow sled with concrete blocks.

There was something different about this year’s pulls. The tractors would literally lose steam as they got further up the track. That didn’t make sense to me. You would have thought that momentum would help them. So, I had to ask somebody and luckily they knew. They told me about the magic of the new sled.

The pulling weight increases, automatically, as the pull progresses! Wow. Magic.

I had to come home and look it up. Here is a good YouTube video.

I Relinquished My Garmin Vivoactive HR After 117-Days — Awaiting Availability Of Vivoactive 3 (Slate).

by Anura Guruge

Vivoactive 3 status at Best Buy as of Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

15-days ago I decided that I was going to upgrade from my Vivoactive HR, which I had not taken off my left wrist since June 14, 2017, for the newly announced Vivoactive 3. I had planned to trade-in or sell the Vivoactive HR ONCE I got the Vivoactive 3.

Well, as they say about the best laid plans of mice and men …

I relinquished my Vivoactive HR last night THOUGH I am unlikely to be able to get my hands on a Vivoactive 3 for at least another 2 weeks! That, however, is not the end of the world.

Devanee wanted a Activity Tracker for her birthday — which is today. She was looking at the Vivosmarts and Vivofits. So, I said she can have mine … So, that is the story.

I rest the HR and detached it from my Garmin Apps.

Appears I did 574.4 miles during the 117-days I had it. But, that coincided with the Summer and many a hike in Acadia and Monhegan Island. It is not going to be that good over the winter.

I am OK about not having an activity tracker for 2-weeks or more. I now know the distances I have to run and the various cadences I have to maintain.

I have only one regret. I want to see my activity over a 1-year period — uninterrupted. That could have been June 13, 2018. Now it will have to be … like October 23, 2018. C’est la vie.
