Face Injury Suffered By Sri Lankan Chamara Kapugedera, From A Lobbed Ball In The 3rd ODI, Is Horrific & Amazing!

I saw this last night while I was watching the highlights of that 3rd ODI, Pakistan v. Sri Lanka.

Couldn’t believe it on multiple levels. First and foremost that is quite the swelling and quite the injury. Wow. I have seen quite bit of sports injuries, having played a ton of sports in my prior life, but nothing like that.

The other thing I could not fathom was that it was not thrown at him. More of a gentle lob. Must have just hit him awkwardly.

Also not sure why wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella lobbed the ball at him. He is not the captain and he wasn’t due to be bowling. Very strange.

But, that swelling. That is something else.

by Anura Guruge

Now available DIRECTLY from Garmin, and NOT just from Best Buy. Click to access Garmin Web page.

Stainless Steel ALSO available from Amazon — at last — with immediate, 2-day delivery. Click for Amazon listing.

At Garmin. Use above link IF you want to check.

So, today is Friday, October 20, 2017 — the day that a Garmin rep. told me that the Vivoactive 3 will be available. Appears not to be the case.

However, at last, the Garmin Vivoactive 3 in stainless steel is now readily available — from Garmin, Amazon & Best Buy, rather than just from Best Buy.

But, I want the Slate! They are now saying 2 – 3 MORE weeks! Yikes.

The 2016 Al Smith Dinner, a HUGE annual New York city fundraiser for Catholic causes (started in 1945), was ‘one for the ages’ with both presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton & Donald Trump, delivering speeches (or ‘roasts’ to be more accurate) — as is a longstanding custom on election years.

This year, i.e., 2017, the keynote speaker was House Speaker, Paul Ryan, a practicing Catholic from Wisconsin, his father of Irish descent. Ryan, as was to be expected, did make some jokes at the expense of Trump. Whether he cleared them with Trump ahead of the dinner has yet to be established. We will have to see if Trump reacts.

But, here is the whole story — so to speak, video and transcript.

Their Website.

This is crazy. We have put up with this for 10-years!

It isn’t as if we have a really, really strange name. We are just talking “Gurugé“.

“é” — as used in French and Spanish.

Last time I looked we do have folks with French and Spanish names in the U.S.

This is a bloody travesty.

Got the LATEST testing results, with the two ‘question marks’ today. I had enough.

I contacted the Principal and Assistant Principal — who happens to be on French descent, with a name LaFreniere.
