Two days after they took down the listing for the Gunmetal Black (i.e., Slate) it is BACK AGAIN!

Now they are stating a Tuesday, November 14, 2017 availability — in stock. Last week I had seen November 11.

No, I have NOT pre-ordered one again. I will wait a few days.

Garmin is still saying 1 – 2 weeks.

I will, of course, keep you CLOSELY posted. I have skin in this game — for sure, for sure.

I did a post on Edmond Halley (29 October 1656 to 14 January 1741 (new Gregorian calendar)), on the anniversary of his death, on January 14, 2017.

So, I am not going to repeat myself. {Smile}. Instead I am giving you the above two YouTube videos, which are good, and the Wikipedia entry.

But, please check my earlier post. You will be glad that you did.

Naked eye Supernovas are quite rare.

That it happened in the 16th century when astronomy was gaining traction made it even more special.

And to cap it all it was ‘discovered’ and documented by Tycho Brahe, the Danish astronomer most famous, despite many notable achievements, for his artificial nose and for being Johannes Kepler’s mento — Kepler, of course, as in the famous astronomical laws.
