As I said last week in my “The Definition & Picture Of “Warm-Blooded” post, there is something about being a ‘Guruge’ in New Hampshire. We somehow are more immune to the cold than most and I have no explanation, whatsoever, given that I grew up in a clime where the temperature, even at night, never fell below 70°F.
Teischan is the best or worst of the lot. Last week it was 40°F (-0.5°C). About 7″ of snow dumped by Winter Storm “Noah”.
Yes, we had spent 20 minutes shoveling snow vigorously. She was HOT and dumped her jacket on the van. (See below.) Then for the next 30 minutes she pranced around like this, in the snow, with the dogs while I continued to shovel. I was hot too. I thought about shoveling in my sweatshirt — which was a trademark not that long ago. But, now in my dotage I try to be careful. So, I sweated instead.
