Canon EOS R — Lack Of In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) Is A Real BUMMER!

The inexplicable absence of IBIS on the Canon EOS R is a real issue — and as you can see from the Forum thread above I am by no means in the minority here.

I tried to sneak in a few minutes here and there to do some research. I am NOT big into changing lenses. So, at most I might get 4 lenses: 2 zooms, one 50mm and one macro. And therein lies the problem, to begin with. The native EOS R RF mount 50mm lens does not have IS! So, that rules it out. Also not happy that the Tamron 18-400 I am eyeing only has 2.5 stop IS. That is half of what I am used to.

This is a real problem.

The more I research the more I get convinced that I might be better with the Nikon Z6.
