This was at ‘Sandwich Fair‘. They didn’t want to go. Thought they were too old. So we went. Had 6 tickets left — needed 8 but I smooth talked my way in. So, they watched. I caught this as I wnt by. Classic. All the years we would stand and watch THEM.
I am never too old to go on a merry-go-round. I like it. Done it enough with the kids. Standing on the side. Now it is our turn.
Yes, I am on a carousel at a Fair — and NO, I didn’t have any of the kids with I! They didn’t want to go. I like carousels — or merry-go-rounds as I call them. Have been riding them all my life. For 25-years of my life that was because I was accompanying one or more of the four kids. This time, for the first time, it was just me and Deanna. The kids reversed rolls and watched us. I didn’t even pay full price. I got in at 1/2 price. That gift of the gab. We had 6 tickets left. You needed 4 tickets per ride. I gave Deanna 4 and had 2 left. After Deanna got on, I told the attended, a very nice young Mexican, who is there every year, that I only had 2 tickets. He just smiled and waved me on. He doesn’t care. They don’t count the tickets. They just worry about the tickets they sold. It was fun. We got up early to get to the fair. 90 minutes ahead of my usual wake-up time. So, I notice that I didn’t shave that well. C’est la vie. At my age, who cares? I don’t. Just feel lucky that I can get on a merry-go-round and have fun.
He worked out that we might be going to McDonald’s. He was RIGHT. He got his burgers — yes, they each get two.
Yes, we got a 2004 Ford Exploder with 192,000 miles just for the two dogs. Since we got rid of our 2002 Chrysler Caravan in April 2018 the dogs haven’t had a vehicle of their own. This isn’t too much of an issue when they are dry and clean. They can go in the Nissan Quest. The issue is when they are soaking wet — like after they have been swimming in the lake. So, we got them the Ford. Now we can take them to the beach and bring them back — without me having to walk them back.
The Exploder was filthy inside. Teischan spent hours cleaning it — for a price. She did a great job. Once it was clean she wanted to take the dogs for a ride in their car. We ended up going to McDonald’s. They did not complain. They like their car.
Now we have 6 cars — all inspected, registered and insured.
