Christmas Comet Of 2018 — 46P/Wirtanen — MIGHT NOT Be Naked Eye Visible.

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE and admire. From the JPL Small-Body Database Browser.

I have been keeping an eye on it as promised.

Touch-and-go right now. Teetering right on the edge of naked eye visibility — and even that means you are not going to be able to see it unless you have no ambient light. So forget seeing it from a city.

Alas. I am bummed for ALL of us.

But, I will keep on checking and let you know. OK?

Keep fingers, toes, and MOST OF ALL your eyes, crossed. That helps.

The premise of the book is VERY simple. Promote brain health by encouraging daily meaningful thinking — with intent.

I am real sorry that I can’t make it cheaper. IF you can’t afford it please let me know. I will send you the 99 cents. I will just go without a cup of coffee. No problem. Happy to help. {Smile}

The Data You Get With A ‘Polar Vantage V’ On The Watch — Following An Activity.

by Anura Guruge

I did my first activity, a run, with my new Polar Vantage V on Sunday morning — November 4, 2018.

It was one of my standard 3.5 mile runs, up a hill. I did take both my dogs with me which slows me down because they have to stop every few seconds! Honest.

At the end of the run all of these data screens were available by pushing the “OK” button and then scrolling through using the DOWN button. Pretty impressive. Overkill for I.

Just wanted to share them with you since this is still a new watch — that just became available last week.

GPS accuracy seems OK. The 3.5 miles was what I have got with my other watches. Heart rate also seems to be consistent with my expectations.

TDS Telecom Having Issues With Internet & TDS TV In New Hampshire — Sunday, November 3, 2018.

by Anura Guruge

Click to ENLARGE and read. From Twitter … from @tdstelecom.

Yes, I noticed it as of around 10pm which is when I started watching TV. Wasn’t too, too bad. I was recording both the “Durrells” and “The Woman in White“. From what I can see they recorded OK though the live pictures I saw were breaking up and pixelated. Just to be on the safe side I scheduled for them to be recorded again, later tonight, on another PBS channel.

The outage must have been pretty bad because it made the WMUR 11pm news. They showed the above Twitter.

This is the first hiccup I have experienced with TDS TV since getting it in late August 2018.

I will keep you posted.

Per their Tweet they hope to have it resolved by now, i.e., midnight.
