‘Actigraph’ makes MEDICAL-grade activity trackers — BUT NO ECG as yet.

How I got ECG capability … Click to access post.

The Apple Watch 4 ECG/EKG feature, as I expected, is getting a LOT of favorable press — with stories about how it has already saved lives.

Garmin has to react fairly soon.

This partnership with Actigraph is a good start. Actigraph, right now, does not have a ECG/EKG product but you have to be sure that they and Garmin have been looking into it. As I discovered the ‘chipsets’ for getting the ECG/EKG readings are readily available and not that expensive. So, it is not a huge hill that has to be climbed.

Actigraph, right now, appears to marketing high-end activity trackers — albeit without GPS. So, quite a bit of overlap, but also areas that they can cooperate on to improve.

Good move. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
