When buying ‘Metamucil‘ or a store-brand equivalent (e.g., Walmart’s ‘Equate’) be very careful as to the sugar content you are getting. Basically there are two flavors: ‘real sugar’ & ‘sugar free’. The ‘real sugar’ version indeed contains a fair amount of sugar at the expense of dietary fiber. I am not really sure why somebody would want this — more sugar, less fiber. Maybe there are some applications for diabetics. Taste alone should not be a factor.
But, of course, it is up to you. Just be aware as to what you are getting. Read the label.
If you are cool with all that sugar go for it.
To I that is dangerous carbs and calories. Like jugging sugar-loaded soda. I prefer the ‘Sugar Free’. Just wanted to share this with you.
