London’s Spectacular Welcome To 2021, With Lasers, Fireworks & Drones — Must Watch.

by Anura Guruge

Given that I still think of the U.K. as HOME, I always make a point of watching THE Queen’s Christmas Speech & London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks.

This year’s show BLEW me away. I was SO, SO proud. Wow.

Yes, I have since read that some folks did NOT like it. Thought it was too political. I had NO issues. I thought it was on the mark.

Well, YOU have to watch it.

Having A Woodpecker Visit You On New Year’s Day Is Supposed To Be Very Auspices (For OBVIOUS Reasons).

by Anura Guruge

YOU do get it … right?

Woodpecker? Yes? No?

Never mind?

Just take my word. It does NOT get any better than this. Made my day.

Yes, this is my personal, OFFICE bird feeder, 45′ off the ground, 5′ from my right hand … as I type.

Yes, I have TWO (2) hula-hoop girls on my windowsill. Don’t YOU?

When You Are Too Poor To Own An Ice Bucket Or Afford Expensive Champagne (Irrespective Of Stimuli Checks).

by Anura Guruge

Well, what can I say?

$2,000 stimulus checks would have helped. I could have got more expensive champagne.

The truth be known, I have drunk way too much good champagne over my life. I am trying to cut back. First champagne I have had in 13-months! That is quite an achievement for a ‘alchy’ that used to drink champagne daily. SMILE.

Wishing YOU A Very Happy & Bountiful 2021. “Cheers” From The ‘Guruge’ Household.

WHAT?

You don’t have personalized, engraved champagne flutes for “1 January …“? Wow. What can I say?

OK. OK.

Ours actually say “1 January 2003”.

Why? Work it out, IF YOU care.
