Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II WAY TOO Overpriced For A “Four Thirds” Camera.

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II has some pretty impressive specs. BUT in the end it is still a “Four Thirds” camera and sensor size does matter.

This is STUPID pricing.

$400 more than the Fuji X-T2 and the Fuji is an APS-C sensor.

Same pricing as the Nikon D500.

I would pay $2,000, body only, for for a Nikon D500. But for a “Four Thirds” Olympus.

I think it is at least $200 overpriced.

Not that I was thinking of getting one. I am STICKING with APS-C. Thanks.

Amazon (AMZN) $1050 Options Now Available — Scary But Exciting.

by Anura Guruge

This is scary BUT in a good way. AMZN is up about $30 in 3 days. But it closed today at $829.05.

A $1050 option 77-days from now is saying that there are those that expect it to go up $221 dollars in 77-days — a 26.7% increase.

Yes, I know that a bunch of analysts hiked the price target to $1,000.

But the possibility of $1,050 before Christmas.

That would be quite the Christmas for some. {SMILE}

10,000th Picture With My Fuji X-E2s Camera — In 76 Days!

by Anura Guruge

Click picture to ENLARGE.

Attribution WILL be enforced.

Exactly the 10,000th picture shot with my Fujifilm X-E2s.

Filenames have cycled back to ‘DSCF0001’!

I got the camera, from Amazon, on May 18, 2016 — and didn’t start using it until the next day. But, I will take May 18 as my ‘Day 1’ with this camera.

I had had it for 45 days (1 month and 2 weeks) when I shot my 5,000th, picture with it.

5,000 in 45 days works out to 111.11 pictures a day. If I go with 44 days (which is the real number) it comes to 113.6 pictures a day — and I did NOT miss a single day.

I went from 5,000 to 10,000 in 31 days!

This comes out at 131.5 pictures a day.

I am sure there are others that take more pictures a day. But that is a LOT for me.

I am nearly done with this camera. I have had it with Fuji.

But I do NOT feel too bad. 10,833 pictures (since I shot 875 pictures today) is a fair amount. I kind of feel that I have got my monies worth.

Jaguar power.

British pride.

Feels so good.

No namby-pamby, ‘we-have-to-lie‘ German technology here. This thing is not diesel powered.

ENJOY. Smile. Made my day.

A day in which I did something I very rarely do. I washed a car by hand.
It was, of course, a Jaguar.

Don’t FORGET that it was me, on Day 2, i.e., October 2, 2013, that demanded
that we have Congregational Hearings on this blatant FRAUD.

Notice that the shameless Obama is just saying 476,000 APPLICATIONS in 19 days.

That is a mere 25,052 applications a day.

BUT, even that is a LIE.

His nose should really fall off for lying so, after the fraud he perpetrated on us taxpayers to benefit his cronies.

The 476,000 does NOT count the multiple applications — like mine. I have applied 3 times. Yes, 3 times.

So, that number is a LIE.

But, most importantly, he REFUSES to say how many people ENROLLED.

Application means nothing. I have applied. But, I can’t enroll.

Shameless Obama is lying.

Why Do Sportsmen Wear Watches When They Are In The Middle Playing — Nadal And His U.S. $690,000 The Grossest Example.

Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, ‘Boom-Boom’, Making the sign of the ‘T’ — requesting a TV replay.

They were talking about Nadal’s latest $690,000 (Rolex-built) watch this morning on CNBC and it got me on one of my pet peeves.

I do not understand why sportsmen (and for that matter sports women) feel that they need to wear a watch WHEN they are in the middle PLAYING?

Have no problem whatsoever about them wearing watches or whatever when they are not playing. Hey, I like watches and tend to wear by 25 year old Rolex quite a bit.

But, why does Nadal need a watch when he is on court. The courts that he plays on have plenty of watches and digital scoreboards. Look up or sideways and he has all the timing data he needs.

Amazes me even more when I see International cricketers, while fielding, wearing big clunky watches. I think it makes them look stupid!

All International cricket venues have plenty of readily visible clocks. That is part and parcel of the game. We need to know when lunch is … we need to know when it will be tea. So cricket grounds have clocks. They are sighted so that they can be easily seen.

A player in the middle will always have ready access to one or more clocks. IF they can’t see ‘the clock’ they should not be out there — because they must be blind as a bat!

So, I don’t get it. Seems like a puerile affectation.

NH Car Registration Fee Rate, $18 per $1,000 ‘list’ Price

Anura Guruge, laughing, picture November 16, 2011.

….
……
by Anura Guruge

As with the length of wait for a permanent license after online renewal, the ‘above’ was another piece of information that I could not easily locate using Google.

So, yesterday we had to register the KIA we had bought on June 28, 2012 from the (still) good folks at TEAM KIA, Concord.

I had to confess, I was taken aback by how much it was to register. But, as the lady pointed out, NH must get its revenue in someway. I understand that (to my cost, since I also get hit on ‘income and dividend‘).

The rate, at least as it applies in Alton, NH, is $18 per $1,000 of ‘list price’ — with the list price per the NH DMV database, which I am sure only has average prices across a given model line. So, though we have the basic model, I am sure that the list price they used was that averaged out across all the models of that make. C’est la vie.

Hope this helps.
