Yes, Google very definitely is an International entity, BUT I don’t think it has any particular or special affiliation or connection with London or even the U.K. So, why ‘Whitechapel’?
Yes, it might have been for the band. Possible.
Why am I intrigued. For us Brits ‘Whitechapel’ has certain definite connotations, chief among them ‘Jack the Ripper‘! Was that it? Nothing wrong. New processor is likely to be a RIPPER. If so rather cute & clever. There is also the Bangladeshi connection & it is possible that the Google team may have some of those as key team members.
I would love to know. I would love to be able to Google it. SMILE.
That these two stories, coincidentally or not, were juxtapositioned cracked me up. That though, alas, was the only thing I found amusing.
Not getting plenty of sex, AT LEAST ONCE A DAY, when you are in the your prime is criminal. Distressed me no end. Of course was not the case in the Britain I grew up in and enjoyed the early years of my adult life. Sex, thankfully, was always plentiful. SMILE. Less than once a week when you are in yours 20s & 30s! Jesus wept. Wow. Wasn’t I lucky.
As for the boozing. We drank much too. But, I started late (i.e., when I was 21) and stopped drinking excessively a few years later. But, drinking was very much a part of life. And boy didn’t we have a great time in Britain in the 1960s, 1970s & 1980s?
I hope this will self-correct soon. It has to. Not getting plenty of sex is not normal — for a Brit.
Australians, understandably, do not like to commemorate it as such, but January 26, 1788 — 230-years ago, was when the first shipment of British convicts landed in Sydney Cove, Australia to become the First European settlement in Australia.
They like to call it Australia Day. We, the Brits, understand. We always remember what it means. Cheers.
