It must be good because I watched it all, back-to-back, within a few days. I liked it. Enjoyed it a lot — at multiple levels. Initially thought it was a movie. Did not realize that I would end up spending 8 hours (I think) watching all of it.

Pity it is NOT based on a real story. That would have been neat.

I was never big into chess & haven’t played any for over 30-years. But, I like watching chess movies — or to be more precise movies about famous chess players. That is what I thought this was about. I knew that the “Queen’s Gambit” was a chess play — & yes, that was probably from the 7 or 8 chess movies I have watched over the years. The last one I watched, I think, was “The Luzhin Defense“. It was good. Enjoyed that too. This series reminded me of that movie.

Bottom Line: Memorable. Very well done. Great cinematography. Amazing true — though fictional. Watch it if you can.
