Check out this video. It does show SOME of the
mind blowing trampoline act (towards the middle).
I think you might have worked out from my title that I was impressed. Actually, I was beyond impressed. These 8 ‘kids’ (and they are YOUNG and there was only 8 that were on stage) redefined brilliance and I am not exaggerating or kidding. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Their talent, individually, collectively & synergistically is so awesome that it is humbling.
We go to a LOT of circuses — at least once a year, and we try to go to the BIG ones, whenever we can, like ‘Cirque du Soleil‘ and ‘Barnum & Bailey’. Just do a search on this blog. So, we have seen a lot of acts over the years. And these, by these 8, were UP there — way up there. And as you can see from the program (above) four of them have been with ‘du Soleil‘.
Their ‘vertical’ trampoline act is the BEST we have seen and we have seen it done by ‘du Soleil’, ‘Barnum & Bailey’ and others. The best, by far. They were brilliant.
The juggling. Out-of-this-world.
The magical piano player who did so much and was so integral to all the acts. Amazing. What it says in the program is TRUE. A generational talent! The whole piano ‘thing’ is very clever and cute. It is one of their props. It is no ordinary piano. It has a lot of electronics and an umbilical cord that is pretty hefty. I found this for you on YouTube. It gives you a glimpse of his talents but just a glimpse.
It is a proper circus. They do multiple, diverse acts and per circus lore even throw in a comedy, clown skit between the main acts. Very clever and very cute.
In addition to ‘brilliant’, ‘astounding’, ‘amazing’ a couple of other words that invariably come to mind are ‘cute’, ‘clever’, ‘ballet-like’.
There was only one disappointment — it was just 1-hour long! Halfway through I suspected that this would be the case. Nonetheless, it was kind of upsetting to be proved right. Given the amount of energy they expend they couldn’t, realistically, have stretched it out to 2-hours. But, they have to see how they can make that happen — with an intermission to break it up.
That said, HIGHLY, highly, highly recommended with no caveats. If you can catch them, do not forgo the opportunity. You will be amply rewarded.
