Greenleaf Beacon Hill Dollhouse: Laborious Progress Continues At A Crawl.

The main structure — or shell — is done as you can see in pictures #1.

Next step is to assemble the main staircase COMPLEX and it is indeed complex. Got the first few steps of that step completed. Not easy.

Teischan admits that she could not do this on her own.

I have burned all my fingers, more than once, with the hot glue gun. Always forget how hot that glue is coming out of the gun. The tips of my fingers are a mess!

This is what Teischan, after much deliberation and consideration, wanted as the main present for her 11th birthday on March 22nd.

We kind of knew what we were getting into BUT this is something else.

She can’t do it by herself so I have to work with her — all the time.

I have over the years, with Teischan being #4, built hundreds of Lego, AirFix and similar models — with some of these being v. ambitious, big and complex. BUT nothing compares to this.

Plus the thin plywood is brutal in terms of splinters.

It is hard work.
