This was worse than the proverbial ‘one man and his dog’ because I couldn’t even spot a dog on the ground.
I think the crowd size was less than 100. Tops …. maximum counting all the staff etc. 250. It was a picture of space and emptiness.
Also, compared to other venues there was an acute shortage of advertising. First time in YEARS that I have actually see the boundary rope — sans advertising cushions.
No wonder the West Indies have financial troubles. The only revenue would have been from TV rights.
This is crazy. I know they all have to play a certain number of Tests to retain Test status but this was not the right series. They would have been better off not having any Tests and playing a few ODIs and T20s.
