‘Amazon Adventure’ (2017) IMAX Movie: Even Better Than What The Title Connotes.

by Anura Guruge

We saw this yesterday, in IMAX, at the Boston “Museum of Science“.

I bought the tickets, just based on the title (and the time of the showing (1pm)) without reading the description. With two kids in tow I knew I couldn’t go too far astray with that title.

Well, it was NOT the typical Amazon river adventure drama that you would expect — though it had its fair share of drama and action.

It has to do with the finding of EVIDENCE to support Darwin’s (then revolutionary) ‘Theory of Evolution‘.

I was somewhat familiar with one the protagonists of the story — Alfred Russel Wallace, though I only knew of his work in Asia and not the Amazon.

Knew nothing of Henry Walter Bates. Now I know and I am glad I was exposed to him via this movie.

Good movie. I recommend it — highly.
