I Am N.H. Senator Maggie Hassan’s ‘Top Fan’ On Facebook — And I Am Delighted.

The GREAT Senator is no stranger to I.

The pictures demonstrate that she, a wonderful person, makes me very happy!

And yes, WE campaigned for her.

Of course I follow and support her on Facebook. Why wouldn’t I?

I think she is the cat’s whiskers. IF only we could have a few more senators like her as opposed to the gutless, shameless, spineless men who are in the Senate.

I am very proud of both of OUR New Hampshire Senators. I do not know Jeanne Shaheen as much as I know Senator Hassan. I have only met Senator Shaheen once and that was a long time ago. But, her office has helped us numerous times. For that I will always be grateful.

I saw Senator Hassan, when she was our Governor, at work, at the State House, quite often. She always impressed I. She is an exemplary mother and a wonderful human being.

I am proud and delighted to be Senator Maggie Hassan’s TOP Facebook FAN. It is an honor and privilege.

Thanks to the sterling efforts of ‘Lisa C.’ of the New Hampshire I finally have an Anthem membership number — though they have yet to hit my credit card with either of the two (2) payments I have made, Dec. 27 & Jan. 3, and have e-mails from them confirming my payments.

Lisa and the Manager from Anthem, Robert Murr… II, both told me that I would be able to print a TEMPORARY ID card once I created an Anthem account and logged in.

NOT so.

I was able to set up an Anthem account, as I showed on the above posts. As I also said in that post the ‘Print Temporary ID Card’ function is DISABLED.

Lisa called me again today to make sure that I had managed to create an account.
Thank YOU, Lisa. You are AMAZING.

She did not realize that the ‘temp ID’ function was disabled. She asked me to send her a screenshot so that she can take it to Anthem.

I created this screenshot for her. She has already sent it to Anthem.

Much is happening behind the scenes!

I am getting many calls and letters. I am GLAD to see that folks in Concord are taking this very seriously.

I have had calls from the Governor’s Office. They took copious notes. Thank YOU.

Senator Jane Shaheen’s office has called multiple times and also e-mailed me.

I have had a number of letters, calls and e-mails from the N.H. Insurance Department. Also from the Attorney General.

I will, of course, keep you posted.

Thanks To N.H. Insurance Department I FINALLY Get An Anthem Membership Number. Amazing!

As you know I was NOT going to take Anthem’s rejection of me lying down.

On Friday, after I made my 2nd payment, I contacted as many people as I could think of and filed two formal complaints.

One of the folks I contacted, right off the bat, was the N.H. Insurance Department — Consumer Complaints. I left a message on Friday.

This morning, around 11:15, a lovely lady called ‘Lisa’ called. She assured me that I was NOT alone. She took all my information and said that she will see if she can get any ‘joy’ from her Anthem contact. She told me to be patient. She told me I was not alone. She understood. She was very sympathetic.

She called me back within 20 minutes!

Her opening words were:
“You are the LUCKY ONE!”

She had my Anthem Membership Number!

She told me how lucky we had been to get it. She told me that she had not been able to get numbers for other people.

The number she gave me WORKS.

I was able to create an Anthem online account with that number …

I also managed to get the screenshot shown above. That shows the same number, or at least the ‘numeric’ part of it, without the 3 leading letters I was also given.

There is a PRINT temporary ID card link BUT it is temporarily disabled!

But, I am so relieved. So happy. I now have coverage. This number is good. I can use it if I were to have the heart attack I am expecting anytime now — especially with all the stress I have undergone trying to get this damn insurance.

I called Anthem again on Saturday. On hold for 96 minutes!

Got a lovely lady named ‘Diana’. She was so, so helpful.

Unlike the Indian idiot I had the misfortune of getting on Friday, she found my records! She said that I was covered THOUGH they hadn’t processed my payments. Even said that they would either return one of the payments or use it as the premium for February.

When she fully appreciated my distress she put me on hold and went and saw a manager. His name is: Robert Murr… II. He works for Wellpoint and is a Member Services manager.

He too has been outstanding. He sent me a letter saying I am covered. He has sent me 4 e-mails. I am impressed.

I also got a call from Carol Shea-Porter’s Office. I had contacted them on Friday.

The gentleman that called me, very, very nice, told me that they had sent my information to their Anthem contact on Saturday.

I also got voice-mail from Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s office. They had also looked into it.

As did my friend, N.H. State Representative Lisa DiMartino.

I am lucky that I had so many good people rally around to help me.

THANK YOU, All.

IF you are having trouble with Anthem … you need to start calling. That is my advice.

How Many People Enrolled For Obamacare In Week One? ZERO. 0. Goose-Egg. Nada. Not A One! This Is Why They Refuse To Answer The Question.

This is why bloody Sebelius would NOT answer John Stewart’s REPEATED question: “how many people managed to enroll in Obamacare last week?”

NONE. Nonbody. ZERO.

All accounts setup at healthcare.gov last week [i.e., Oct. 1 – Oct. 7] were DELETED on Sunday night.

Ditto applications.

So don’t sit there smugly thinking that you are all set. You have been screwed, right royally, in your derriere and you still haven’t worked it out.

I know because they told me.

I set up two accounts and applied through the call center.
ALL LOST.

I applied again. So I know.

Liberal media is covering this up for Obama.

Republican media, i.e., Fox News, too stupid to understand what this means.
Way too complicated for them. Pity.
I called and e-mailed them offering to take them through it using small words.

Just remember WHO broke this story.

Can NO LONGER logon. I was able last week — as this post proves.

As I write, I am ‘on hold’ with the 1-800 Call Center. Their computer system is down too!

All accounts created last week LOST. Official. Call and find out.

All data lost.

Yes. Gone. Will have to apply again.

Just confirmed. My application data was ALL lost.

OFFICIAL.

They are retyping it.

Yes. The Website sure has to be under ‘Denial of Service’ (DoS) attack. That would explain some of the problems, but not all.

They should have anticipated DoS attacks. That was so predictable.

This is pure and simple FRAUD.

Nothing has happened with my plea for a Congressional Inquiry into this — the BIGGEST FRAUD perpetrated on U.S. Tax Payers.

Obama and his cronies have to have lined their pockets with BILLION OF DOLLARS claiming it was for developing this system.

I spent 40 years of my life involved, intimately, with LARGE computer systems. This is FRAUD.

Why aren’t the Republicans going after Obama for this?

This is how they can shutdown Obamacare.

Impeach Obama before he skips town with his ill gotten billions.

Once he gets to Kenya we will never be able to extradite him.

I Apply For Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA)/Obamacare Insurance By Phone, Through Call Center, Not ‘Healthcare.gov’.

Well according to this, and it took me 40 minutes and 8 attempts to logon to healtcare.gov, my current application is being reviewed.

I do NOT trust it.

Here is the kicker. I was told that I would get the approval or denial by mail!

Around 2:20 pm yesterday, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, when the fraudulent healthcare.gov system would NOT let me proceed because I had dependents that did NOT require health insurance, I in desparation first tried the ONLINE CHAT. That was a joke. Just automated messages that told me to try again in March 2014! I kid you NOT.

I then called the 1-800 number.

I was surprised. Somebody answered with a few minutes!

She was very pleasant, actually quite friendly, very professional and helpful.

She said that they knew of the dependent problem.

Then she said that I could apply online and that she could type it all in.

So we did that. It wasn’t too painful. Obviously she was using a system different to what we have at healtcare.gov. That alone is criminal. Bryan Sivak, the reprobate behind this billion dollar scam should be arrested. Republicans can be so dumb sometimes. They can shutdown Obamacare just by highlighting and focusing on this scam! Forget the funding. Highlight the scam. Close the system because of the fraud. But, that is too technical for them. Alas.

She had to put me on hold about 6 times to go and find out answers. But, it was OK. Much better service than I have had from U.S. Cellular or DirecTV.

When it was all done and filed she told me that that was the FIRST application she had processed!

I was floored. This was 2:30 pm on the 2nd DAY of bloody Obamacare.

She told me that she got a LOT of training. So she must have started the day before though I didn’t get a chance to ask her that.

So about 30.5 hours after it went live, I was the first application she had processed!

Amazing.

This is such a travesty. Such a scam.

For this Obama should be impeached. That he let this happen is criminal, pure and simple. But, Republicans don’t get it. That is why they lost the last election. Just don’t get it. I have tried to help. I am even telling them what to do … like calling for a Congressional Inquiry.

‘Healthcare.gov’ Obmacare Healthcare Registration System CANNOT Deal With Folks That Do NOT NEED Insurance For Dependents!

This is bloody (and the word I really want to use is not that) AMAZING.

They, these damn crooks, NEVER coded this system for a person, with a family, that just wanted insurance for themselves.

You have to enter spouse and all dependents you will claim on 2014 Tax Return.

THEN YOU go into a never ending loop IF you don’t specify that you need insurance for them.

I called the 1-800 CALL Center. They CONFIRMED that this was a known BUG.

Bloody amazing.

This proves that these crooks NEVER tested this system. They should go to PRISON, but they won’t. They just became millionaires off this scam.

It starts LOOPING, endlessly at this point. You can't get out. I called the 1-800. They knew of this problem! Trying to fix this.

This is beyond the pale.

This is daylight, highway robbery of our tax money.

This is way, way, way worse than Solyndra.

This is taxpayer money being funneled to Obama’s cronies irrespective of their capabilities.

This has to be investigated.

As you can see I have done my part.

You too can contact your representatives.

Since I tend to be, much of the time, and equal-opportunity activist, I also contacted Senator Jeanne Shaheen and asked her to do the same — though in this situation I have more confidence in firebrand Ayotte than in the gentlelady from NH — who has helped us, considerably, in the past.

Huge, Heartfelt THANKS to Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s Office

This had to do with an arcane law that taxes what is called the ‘workman’s comp offset‘ in one’s Social Security disability. At a time when the fairness of the overall tax system is being debated it is very germane to talk about this since it taxes one on benefits that one did NOT RECEIVE! Yes, you read that right. You pay taxes on SS benefits you did NOT receive. ‘Workman’s Comp Offset’ applies to those disabled that received a Workman’s Comp. settlement in addition to the SS disability they receive. The ‘OFFSET’ is the amount that SS deducts from your SS disability to compensate for what you got from Workman’s Comp. That is perfectly fair and valid.

[Here is a very crude, and probably unrepresentative example just to show you what we are talking about. Lets say your SS disability calculations based on all the formulas they use is meant to be $162/month. You receive a Workman’s Comp settlement, say a lump sum, which per the laws of most states, including NH, is then reported to the SS as an amortized MONTHLY payment spread over the recipient’s life expectancy. For this example lets say that SS was using a Workman’s Comp monthly payment of $32. SS would now reduce the $162 by $32 and only pay $130 a month. Get it?]

Here is the CATCH. SS, in the annual SSA-1099 tax document they issue and send to the IRS, states the ‘Offset’ as part of the taxable benefit. So, per my crude example above, they would report $32 x 12 months, $384, to the IRS as the ‘workman’s comp offset’. That $384 is taxable, though it is actually the monies the SSA never paid the recipient. To be fair, this is also ‘OK’ because you don’t get taxed on ALL of your SS payments. So by the time you have done all of the ‘1/2 of line 2 times 0.85 of line 16 less 1/3 of line 38‘ the numbers become manageable. Quite a few people don’t pay any taxes on their SS anyway.

But, if the SSA makes a $58,958 ERROR in what they report on your SSA-1099 you are in deep trouble! Since it is reported to the IRS there is no wriggle room.  That was what happened to my wife. We were very fortunate that Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s office, in particular Cara Osborn, Special Assistant for Constituent Services, of the Dover Office, jumped in, contacted the Social Security Administration (SSA) and helped us get a new, amended SSA-1099 – with just enough time for us to file our tax return without having to seek an extension (something I had never done and was very nervous about having to do). Thank YOU, Cara … and Mrs. Shaheen.

My wife who had been a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for over 9 years got badly injured in mid-2006 when she and another LNA were trying to transfer an elderly patient from her bed to a chair. During the transfer the patient ‘let go’ — basically stopped trying to support herself. Though both LNAs were using the ‘transfer belts’ that they are supposed to use, my wife ended up supporting a person considerably heavier than her. She herniated multiple disks in one go. She was off work and is still in pain despite major back surgery. She got a Workman’s Comp settlement in 2008 and after a hearing with a judge, in ‘late’ 2010, SSA disability. So, that is the background.

Since her SSA disability only kicked-in in late 2010, SSA didn’t get around to doing all of the Workman’s Comp calculations till 2011. So everything, which is backdated etc., was included in the 2011 SSA-1099. As soon as I saw it I knew that something was wrong. The reported ‘workman’s comp offset’ was close to three times her ENTIRE workman’s comp. settlement. Even with backdating etc. I could not see how any offset could end up being three times what was being offset. My wife called the SSA. This was in mid-January, 2012. After 40 minutes she spoke to a lady. At one point this SSA lady came to the same conclusion as me: ‘how can the offset be so much bigger than the original amount‘. She promised that she will get it looked at and that we will receive a letter in a month.

The month anniversary came. No letter. We waited 3 days and my wife called again. This time an even longer wait. They said ‘Oh, you should get a letter by March 15‘. I was getting worried. We went down to the local SSA Office in Concord and waited in line. They were MOST HELPFUL. We spoke to two agents. They both said: ‘there is something wrong‘. They then also went onto say: ‘we can’t fix it here. It has to be fixed in Baltimore and you are looking at at least 2 months‘. That would have put us beyond April. I asked if there was anything else we could do. They said you could try contacting one of the US representatives or Senators. I decided to contact Mrs. Shaheen given that we have always been very impressed with her. We wrote to the D.C. office. Within 72 hours we had a call. We had to sign and return a ‘release’ form so that they could contact SSA on our behalf. We did that forthwith. Cara, from Dover, handled all of this graciously — always supportive, ever helpful. On March 19 we got an amended SSA-1099, with the offset $58,958 less than that originally reported. I had time to do our taxes.

Thank you Mrs. Shaheen, Cara …, all at Mrs. Shaheen’s multiple offices, and all those at SSA that helped us out. [Yes, my wife has had two lawyers. The ever impeccable Shawn Nichols of Wescott, Dyer, Fitzgerald, & Nichols, PA, who handled her Workman’s Comp and another who handled the SS hearing. My wife contacted them both. There was nothing they could do. This problem had to be fixed by the SSA.] So, I hope this helps anybody else that finds themselves in a similar bind.
