Eliminating ‘Period Poverty’, A New Hampshire Initiative, By A Young Lady, Now Gaining Worldwide Traction.

This is GREAT. It is a NO BRAINER. Delighted that Scotland & New Zealand have joined New Hampshire. To be honest I haven’t had the time to see what other countries & U.S. states are also adopting this policy. I hope many.

So happy for & proud of Caroline Dillion who made this happen in New Hampshire. She must be so delighted & gratified. Good for her. I hope she gets the recognition & honors she deserves. Maybe the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is ALL good.

Germany’s PROPOSED Mandatory Dog Walking Law — My Take, As A Fervent Dog Walker.

by Anura Guruge

I love it especially because I encounter it, first hand, at least TWICE A DAY. That is how often I walk my dogs — without fail. They go out, play in the yard etc. etc., BUT they get TWO PROPER walks each & every day. Well every time I take them out we encounter the dog next door. Fairly big, healthy, male dog. He is kept in with an invisible fence (though he has escaped a few times). IF he is lucky he gets walked ONCE every TWO MONTHS! That is BLOODY WRONG. That is criminal. Makes me mad. But, nothing I can do. Their pathetic excuse would be that they have a big yard & the dog can run around. Not the same as a WALKIE.

Walking is also a bond. That PACK animal thing. Walking is going out with the pack. Yes, that I have two dogs reinforces that.

I would love to see mandatory dog walking laws over here.

But, it has to be on a SLIDING SCALE.

One size will not fit all.

Yes, my dogs could walk 1-hour a day. They used to walk 2-hours a day.

But, now I have cut back because Maya — at 9 — is getting OLD. 1 hour, especially in the heat, would just about be her limit, & I see no point of subjecting her to that.

So, the ‘length’ per day has to be based on AGE, size & health. Yes, you might have to get a WAIVER from a vet.

But, a GREAT start. I am happy. Something that I can applaud from Germany. SMILE.

Kia Sinclair, Founder Of N.H. ‘Free The Female Nipple’ Comments On U.S. Supreme Court Indecision.

by Anura Guruge

if you are unfamiliar with the case.

Kia Sinclair’s comments (via ‘e-mail’) on January 13, 2020.

“I am disappointed as well. The good news is this is only the court declining to review our case, it isn’t a ruling on its merits. It sets no precedent. It’s rare for SCOTUS to grant cert. We have other legal avenues we can down. Currently there are several cases around the issue of female toplessness around the country, so the fight is far from over.”

Kia Sinclair’s original explanation of her
goals for this movement
from July 2015.

There are quite a few posts on this blog about
Kia Sinclair and her
“Free the Female Nipple” N.H. movement.
Use this blog’s search function to locate them.

I got to know Kia Sinclair, a dynamic, eloquent, cerebral & committed, young lady in 2015 when she courageously started this movement. We collaborated quite a bit that Summer. That is how I got to know Kia. She is an impressive lady and I know she will prevail. Of that there can be no doubt or debate.

Check her out. She is a BIG name for the future.

Pope Francis In Creating New Cardinals On October 5, 2019, Will AGAIN Disregard Conclave Requirements.

by Anura Guruge

The issue here is, per Vatican Law, enacted in 1973, the MAXIMUM number of cardinal electors that can participate in a conclave is 120.

None of the 4 popes since that law was passed, viz., John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI & Francis, have changed that Law — though three of them (i.e., the latter 3) have at one time or another created too many electors such that there numbers exceeded 120.

If there were to be a conclave when the elector count is above 120 there could be problems.

There are no guidelines nor precedents for sorting it out. It would be ‘unruly’ and ‘unbecoming’.

As the top figure shows Francis, at each of his six consistories, has exceeded that 120 limit.

John Paul II nor Benedict XVI were never so egregious — i.e., violate the 120 limit at each of their cardinal-creating consistories.

But, no so Francis. He really thinks he is special. A maverick. That it makes him look cool to disregard the Laws!

Yes, I will concede that 4 current electors will AGE-OUT (i.e., reach 80 and thus become non-electors) within 10-days of this consistory. But, that still leaves 4 OVER the count. Barring deaths there will NOT be another aging-out until February 25, 2020, and the next after that is on April 17, 2020. Even after that, barring deaths, we will still be 2 over the 120. That is over 7 months.

This is not good.

Francis can fix this with a simple memo. Yep. He is all powerful when it comes to Church Laws. He can remove the 120 limit all together or increase it. But, he hasn’t.

Not good. Unbecoming.

Also, worth remembering. On Sunday, on his way to announce this consistory, Francis got stuck in an elevator for 25-minutes. Not a good omen.

‘Period Poverty’ Bill, Spearheaded By Schoolgirl, Becomes New Hampshire Law — Something To Be Proud Of.

by Anura Guruge

Click image to access ‘Fosters.com’ original.

I am SO impressed, so happy. This is so pro-female, pro-children. It is great. I am so proud of her — Caroline Dillion. I do not know her but wish her all the best and hope she goes far. Maybe a FUTURE president. She will be good.

As a father of three daughters, who still lives in a house with three females I surely can relate to this. SMILE.

That there could be kids in the U.S. that don’t have access to these essential products is criminal.

I am so glad that New Hampshire is putting this right.

I have no idea. But, what will it increase my property tax bill by — $10/year. I, for one, am happy to pay. I will even pay more. SMILE.

Reading about this MADE MY DAY!

Last Time Thanksgiving Fell On November 22nd As It Does This Year.

by Anura Guruge

Not that long ago. In 2012. 6-years ago.
You may remember it.

November 22 is the EARLIEST the 4th Thursday can fall.

Bear that in mind.

The first time Thanksgiving fell on November 22 as of 1900 was 1945.

U.S. Thanksgiving has NOT always been on
the 4th Thursday of November.

It used to be on the LAST Thursday of November.

You can have 5 Thursdays in November,
as was the case 2012 & back in 1939.

The 4th Thursday in November
was made a Federal Holiday in 1942.

So, Thanksgiving on the 4th Thursday
is but 76-years old.

Next November 22 Thanksgiving is in 11-years time; i.e., 2029.

New Hampshire Hoping To Pass A Law To Limit The Growing Craze With ‘Roadside Memorials’.

by Anura Guruge

The New Hampshire ‘House Bill’ (HB) waiting approval. Click to ENLARGE and read here. Here is the link to the original: legiscan.com/NH/text/HB1428/id/1656461

While I can kind of understand the motivation and cathartic value, these roadside memorials, around here, are getting out of hand. They were erecting quite an elaborate one, replete with a plastic palm tree and two Adirondack chairs in the MIDDLE of Alton Circle today — probably to memorialize a local that died, at the circle, in a motorcycle accident last week. That one, right smack in the middle of the circle, is quite distracting — and that circle, already, is fraught with danger.

So, I for one, will be really glad to see some legislation limiting these roadside memorials.

I personally think 90-days is too much. I would have gone with 14-days, MAX. Plus, there should be size limitations.

But, this would be a start — though it has NOT passed the house as yet.

This year Thanksgiving is on November 23.

It was last on November 23 in 2006 and before that 2000.

The 11-year gap, is atypical BUT part of the pattern — as is the case with when a given date falls on a particular day. The ’11’ having to do with leap years and the 7-days in a week. Other than the 11-year gap, which typically occurs every 4-years, the usual gap is either 5 or 6. You can clearly see that in the first image.

The second image shows what I call the ‘ebb and flow’ of how the dates CYCLE through November 22 to November 28. Kind of mesmerizing — at least to I.

“Free The Nipple” Now In New Zealand Which Has Liberal But Ambiguous Topless/Nudity Laws.

by Anura Guruge

As someone who goes topless as often as I can, I have always been a big proponent of toplessness — whether it be people or cars.

I fully support a female’s right to go topless.

The one gripe I have had with the “Free the Nipple” movement, especially the New Hampshire arm, is that you can’t PROTEST for ‘freeing the nipple’ when the LAW already permits (or at least does not stop) female toplessness.

So, I basically don’t agree with PROTESTING to free something that is ALREADY FREE. To I that just feels wrong and an insult to all of those, worldwide, that are protesting against things that are unreasonably banned.

On that vein, the situation in New Zealand is interesting. Basically they appear to have no statutes against nudity. That is different from say New Hampshire which has a statute that says female topless is not against the law. Hence the ambiguity. Not having a law is sometimes not the same as having a law that says something is permitted or not. So on that basis I am all in favor of this movement in New Zealand.

Google “New Zealand Free The Nipple” for much more. Even pictures. {SMILE}

Monday, August 8, 2016 Is ‘Día Internacional del Orgasmo Femenino’ — International Day Of The Female Orgasm.

by Anura Guruge

femaleorgasm20161111

I hope you did not miss yesterday’s “National Orgasm Day” 2016.

The good news is another one is coming next Monday. It is a recognized and celebrated holiday in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Spain and Norway. And this year it will be during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil!

It is a holiday, established as a municipal law, by an elected Brazilian ‘Councilor’, in Brazil, in 2007.

So this is the 10th coming so to speak.

You can read all about it on pages 20 – 21 in my “Orgasms: 101 Facts & Trivia” book.
