So, we picked up the Volvo XC60, we are ‘leasing’ via the ‘Volvo Care‘ program from ‘Lovering Volvo’ in Concord (NH) this afternoon.
The paperwork process was painless. Basically just had to pay them $701 by credit card. I can manage that. ‘Lovering Volvo’ tries to be helpful.
I am not, at present, that thrilled or impressed with the XC60. It goes. It is BORING as hell. Frigid. (SMILE)
That it does NOT come with Navigation irks I. The salesman & two folks at Volvo told me to just use Google Maps. Well, Google Maps does NOT (for crying out bloody loud) display on the dashboard. It would appear that these folks have never got in and driven a bloody XC60. Never mind. C’est la vie. I have better things to worry about than a boring, bloody car. SMILE.
It goes. Acceleration isn’t bad. Radio — which I think is the basic — is flaccid. I have to crank it up to max. to hear it. Well, I am old, but not totally deaf yet. The radios in my other cars seem to have enough oomph.
Well, that is just my first impressions.
Oh. It doesn’t come with a bloody compass either. Do you get the impression I am not too amused or impressed. SMILE. C’est la vie.
Click to ENLARGE and goggle here. You can find it on NH Craigslist (ID=5459544867).
Nope, nope, nope. I am NOT in the market for another Jaguar (of any sort). More than happy with the two I have. But I do like, every once in awhile, to check what is available — just in case I need another one. Happened to see this.
78,000 miles. Hhhmmm. That is 10,000 more than on my 2002 XJ8. And I paid less. SMILE. But I do not have Navigation. Not for me, BUT if you are in the market for a XJ8 this might be worth looking at — for around $9,400 (not a penny more). SMILE.
