I would have thought that it was disrespectful (if not illegal) to run such a tattered flag — given that this is NOT a flag of WAR.
This is on a blueberry farm on our road. I walk by it nearly every day. Today, I stopped & took these pictures. The wind was not cooperating.
Yes, the farm is owned by an old woman who is a rabid Republican.
She hated Obama. Hated Obamacare (i.e., ACA) with a vengeance. Then her 40-year old son, who did NOT have health insurance, needed a kidney transplant. She had no compunction, or shame, of getting him to go in & get one ‘free’ on the ‘State’, i.e., we had to pay of it because he had no insurance. Typical.
I did NOT need Obama to point this out to I. I worked it out years ago. I worked it out while Obama was still President.
Yes, it surprised & SADDENED I. I had worked like a black to get Obama elected. I thought, way incorrectly obviously, that his election will, forever, HEAL the racist divide in this country. I could NOT have been MORE WRONG.
His election opened up a whole new, rich & wide vein of evil racism.
What still puzzles me is: HOW did Obama get elected with such a HUGE margin. Why didn’t we see the latent in 2007-2008 or even 2012. Why?
Yes, I knew that Trump came to be because Obama was in the White House.
Just make some notes. He is NOT angry. He is at peace with himself and the world. There is no bitterness. There is humility.
No, Obama and I were not always on the same page. Yes, it is v. true that I campaigned like a black for him, thrice — NH primary, 2008 & 2012. I went door-to-door to over 400 houses. I made phone calls. I drove folks around. I bought Chinese take out to keep the rest of the folks going. But, he and I had major issues when it came to healthcare and healthcare.gov. I was mad at him.
But, I will have him, any day of the week, to what we have now.

Be honest to self. We have lost SOMETHING — haven’t we?
