Pretty amazing story. Obviously an ancient country, with long, distinguished and much storied history. “Communist China”, as many of us know it (at least in our hearts), as you can see is not that old. Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) got its Independence a year earlier.

What they have achieved, especially in the last 20-years, is sobering to contemplate.

Kind of neat that Modern China and Disney World share a birthday.

“Disney World”, The “Happiest Place On Earth”, Opened This Day, 46-Years Ago — BUT You Knew That … Right?

Wow. It hasn’t been there forever! Disneyland predated it by 16-years — that having opened on July 17, 1955.

I do like Disney World and am even willing to contend that it a happy place THOUGH I still would like to know what they do with all those fingerprints.

I have visited 4 times for sure, maybe 5 (maybe 6). Twice on vacation and twice for work — both times for seminars.

I would go again, irrespective of costs. Kids are NOT as keen. I think it is stressful for kids. Why young parents drag their babies to Disney is a mystery to I. Can’t be fun.

Happy Birthday Disney World, you are still quite young.

Talk about ironies or irony.

Yosemite, like all the other National Parks, are CLOSED TODAY because of the Government Shutdown!

Today also happens to be NASA’s anniversary, the 55th. Much of NASA is closed too.

It is a beautiful park. I have only been once and that was in 1992. Would go there again in a heartbeat.
