‘The Crown’, Season 4 On Netflix Has Reminded Me How Much I Detest Bloody Prince Charles!

by Anura Guruge

A screengrab from Netflix “The Crown” Season 4, Episode 9.

Yes, his ‘admirers’ will claim that at 72 & married to Camilla that he is a better, rounder, more mature man.

But, Season 4 of “The Crown” reminded me how loathsome he was & probably still is.

Some of the STUPID, puerile (tampax-related) statements he had made in the late 1970s.

It is all coming back like a very bad nightmare. I detest that man.

Yes, when I was in my 20s, like many of us that age, I was a PROUD anti-monarchist. But, as I got older I started to appreciate & like the Queen. I have really got fond of her over the last 20-years THOUGH I know she has her faults.

But, bloody Charles. I am NOT sure I can find any redeeming qualities.

He can’t be King!

I will have to look into this. I know this has been talked about before.

‘Royal Canadian Air Force’ Exercise Plan 5BX Very Effectively Exploited By Prince Charles (70).

Charles at 70. From yesterday’s U.K. “Daily Mail”.

Though he is FAR from my favorite Royal you have to admit, ungrudgingly, that Prince Charles looks damn good for being 70. I am 5-years younger and don’t come anywhere close.

The U.K. “Daily Mail” article, which included this picture, mentioned that he has been assiduously following the ‘Royal Canadian Air Force Exercise Plan 5BX‘ for most of his life. Never heard of it. So, I went looking. Found it. Wanted to share it with YOU.

Remembrance Sunday 2017, London Cenotaph Ceremony Video With The Queen, Prince Philip & Prince Charles.

by Anura Guruge

This year, as had been announced by Buckingham Palace a month ago, Prince Charles, rather than the Queen, laid the first wreath (i.e., the Head of State’s wreath) at the Cenotaph.

The Queen (91) & Prince Philip (91), suitably decked in red poppies, watched from the balcony of the Foreign Office.

Contrary to what you may read or hear (including in the description of the above video) this is NOT the first time that the Queen has not laid the ceremonial wreath. It was the 7th time. TWICE (1959 & 1963) were when she was pregnant and the other four were when she was out of the country on state visits abroad. In 1983, Prince Charles performed the same role as he did today, while the Queen was on an official visit to Kenya.

I could be wrong but I don’t see the Sri Lanka president with his easy-to-spot white ‘national’ — always augmented with a flashy red papal stole.

I was aghast to realize that I could no longer remember the diplomatic protocol for such visits! Given that I spent 28 years of my life in diplomatic circles I used to know all of the airport protocols — who had to meet who when they arrived.

From what I can see Charles was not met by the President because he is NOT a head-of-state. So, I think, in terms of the strict rules of International diplomacy this was ‘OK’ — and the Palace would have known this too.

Aaahh! But, rules are to be broken, especially at this level. I think it would have been COOL if the President had been there to see them off the (very understated) plane. That would have given CHOGM some positive coverage overseas. [It is possible that the President’s wife, a staunch Catholic, was not keen on welcoming this openly adulterous, previously divorced couple. This is the beauty of Sri Lanka and what it was always like. A country that is now claiming to be a Buddhist nation with a 1st Lady who is Catholic.]

Just watching the males that greeted the dapper ol’ Prince I was delighted to see that there were plenty of our trademark ‘rice and dahl‘ pot bellies proudly on display — pushing out those white shirts with pride; our way of daily proclaiming, pictures of malnourished kids be damned, we are a country of plenty when it comes to rice and dahl.

Let us please conclude our honoring of Remembrance Day 2013 with a fine rendition of ‘The Last Post’, the British way.

Thank you for all of your interest of and support for my ‘Poppy Day‘ initiative. We had 3,000 hits on the last two days on just the ‘Poppy Day‘ posts
— and over 10,000 since November 1.
So that was worth it. Thank you.
Of course we will do it again in November 2014.

I learned something new today. Wearing poppies is NOT universal across the old Commonwealth!

Found this on Yahoo.

Here is a picture from that visit (I think). From 2011. Pictures one of my FAVORITE people — no, no, not the ‘tampon’ Prince.
Desmond.
My MAN! Just seeing his picture makes me feel good. What a person. South Africa was blessed to have him and Nelson.

Click for ‘The Telegraph’ original with the Poppy in the banner.

I looked for pictures of Nelson with a poppy. Couldn’t find any. There are some with Nelson with the Prince — but they are PLASTERED with copyright notices. So I won’t bother to show them.

Two other Newspaper reports, both from the ‘Digital Journal’, about Remembrance Day in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the first you can see Poppy wreaths BUT nobody wearing the blessed symbol.

To the Americans that think Boston won a ‘world series’, IT helps if the competition is between TWO different countries.
