The AP equivalent of the CNN numbers shown above. Click to ENLARGE. The ratio is still the same. Click to ENLARGE. Google “democratic primary delegate” to get LATEST version of this from AP via Google.

Why the Bernie Sanders’ crowd REFUSES to acknowledge these numbers is a mystery to I. Yes, we had similar in 2008 with Obama and Hillary, BUT Obama had a huge lead, nationwide — something Bernie does NOT have and will not have. Sanders cannot, given the proportional distribution of the ‘normal’ delegates, hope to overcome this chasm.

Iowa Caucus: Hillary Clinton Won By 59.6% To Bernie Sanders 40.4% WHEN 8 Superdelegates Were Allocated.

by Anura Guruge

Just amazes me as to how many voters (especially Bernie supporters) do NOT understand about Superdelegates and their PIVOTAL role in shaping who the Democratic nominee will be. In reality the reason the Democratic Party has Superdelegates is to ensure that the ‘Party’ will have some say in who the eventual nominee will be. That is why they are called ‘Super’. The chosen. Iowa has 8 Superdelegates and they can (and will) throw their lot behind who they think should be the nominee irrespective of what the voters voted.

Hillary Clinton got ALL 8 of the Iowa Superdelegates.

So the REAL outcome of the Iowa caucus was (and I put this together for YOU):

Overall this is where we currently stand.

Yes, this CAN change and it did in 2008
(with Superdelegates switching over to Obama)

Bernie has a BIGGER uphill climb than 98% of Bernie Sanders’ supporters understand.

The whole process is proportional.

So before the Superdelegates they will both, like in Iowa, get a similar number of delegates.

Then the Supers put Hillary over the top.
