I haven’t attended a selectmen’s meeting in a long time, so I am not in a position to comment.

But to see callousness and cussedness finessed you should attend the Alton Central School Board meeting — even when there is no breaking glass!

In terms of sheer entertainment value it was better than going to the circus and much cheaper. That is why we used to go, but not anymore. They succeeded in basically gagging the public. That is another story for another day, closer to the next Board meeting.

I am, however, confused by the statement about recording the meetings! Aren’t they already video taped! Not sure if Mr. Whittmann is talking about LIVE audio streaming maybe on FM. If he is talking about live streaming over the Internet that should already be possible. The School Board even talked about that.
