Inexplicably the Google Doodle was NOT shown in the U.S.
though he was, in the end, an American.

Shades of “National Geographic“.

Nothing wrong. Very Natural. All good. Very positive. Bravo!

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 In Canada started on June 5, 2015. THIS was the Google Doodle that Google did for that, on June 5, 2015 — BUT did NOT display in the U.S.! It was shown in Canada, Mexico, U.K., Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Greece, South Africa, Australia etc.

They have repurposed it for the first U.S. Match. Interesting. One of the few Google Doodle’s that doesn’t have the word ‘Google’ in it — but funnily enough there is NO mistaking ‘Google’ within it! Clever. Also no description as to how the Doodle came to be.

This Google Doodle is restricted to Nepal.

As the above explanation points out, in paragraph two, the recent devastating earthquakes played in role in the creation of this Doodle — the FIRST, ever, for Nepal. Nice. Hopefully they will get more in the years to come.

The “prayers to Buddha” mentioned towards the bottom of Google’s 3rd paragraph is a misconception!
