I was going to title this post ‘if I were a rich man’. Because, if I was, I would seriously think about buying this beauty for $1,195.95. Yep, that is its list price. Yes, I appreciate that in the scheme of things, especially when it comes to toys, that is probably not that much — but it is way, way, way outside my budget.
O-gauge! Quaint. Yes, the larger size is what permits the detail. But, I am now at the other end of the scale — Z. I do have a semi-functional Z-gauge layout right here. 6′ away from where I now sit. I, to my shame, have let it go over the last few years. Yes, IF I had time I could get it back into shame.

That I love trains should not be a surprise. I also loves planes. I am, where I work, surrounded by model trains — HO to Z. I have some of the trains positioned so that they are what I see if I look up from my screen!
I happened to pick up, in my travels, a discarded “Classic Toy Trains” magazine from July 2008! That was 6 years ago. I actually read most of the articles. Lot of great pictures of LOVELY trains.
