Key European Prelates Yet To Be Created Cardinals — By Louis Epstein.

by Anura Guruge

Louis Epstein (often mentioned in this blog) maintains a detailed and unparalleled Cardinalabili list — and has done so for decades.

‘Cardinalabili’, a play on ‘papabili‘ (i.e., pope contenders), is a term we use to refer to potential cardinals, i.e., those due or likely a cardinalate.

There was a time, when I was writing all my pope books, that I used to publish Cardinalabili lists — primarily Louis’ — on a regular basis.

I haven’t done so in years, and predicting Cardinalabili with Pope Francis is getting near impossible because he relishes not playing by the prior rules and traditions.

But, today I asked Louis for a list of JUST European prelates that should have been cardinals by now.

This is the list that Louis Epstein provided and I omitted a ‘couple’ that he marked as still being quite young and as such probably a tad premature for a red hat.

Braulio Rodriguez Plaza (b. 1/1945) — Archbishop of Toledo (Spain).

Cesare Nosiglia (b. 10/1944) — Archbishop of Turin (Italy).

Francesco Moraglia (b. 5/1953) — Patriarch of Venice (Italy).

Matteo Maria Zuppi (b. 10/1955) — Archbishop of Bologna (Italy).

Marek Jedraszewski (b. 2/1949) — Archbishop of Krakow (Poland).

Mario Enrico Delpini (b. 1951) — Archbishop of Milan (Italy).

Michel Aupetit (b. 3/1951) — Archbishop of Paris (France).

UN Security Council Resolution On Trump’s Jerusalem — How The Countries Voted.

by Anura Guruge

This was the Thursday, December 21, 2017, United Nation Security Council vote as to whether the UN Member States wanted to unilaterally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel per Trump’s pronouncement last week.

128 countries voted AGAINST such recognition, i.e., AGAINST the U.S.A. These included: United Kingdom (UK), France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Russia, Sweden, India, Japan, China, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, etc.

Only 8 countries voted with the U.S. and 7 of them are not exactly household names!

Canada, Australia and Mexico, to THEIR SHAME, kowtowed to Trump.

So, now you know.

128 Against — 9 For — 35 Abstained.

Spanish Seville’s Official 2017 Christmas Poster Shows Archangel Gabriel In A Whole Different Light.

by Anura Guruge

I read and saw this in today’s
U.K. “Daily Mail
which I read a few times a day!

It is a poster to put up around the City that says “Christmas Saville 2017” (in Spanish).

Interesting imagery and on top of it, the most masculine Gabriel I have ever seen.

What were they thinking? Maybe they were indeed trying to tell us something.

Enjoy.

The 5 Cardinal Designates, Announced By Pope Francis, For The June 28, 2017 Consistory — By Br. César J. Tobón, L.C.

by Anura Guruge

Another masterful new-cardinal graphic by Br. César J. Tobón of Mexico who has provided us with a similar, and much appreciated, graphics ahead of other cardinal creating consistories and whenever there has been major changes to the Roman curia. His beautiful work is always a joy to behold and an honor to present.

This was a cardinal creating consistory announcement out-of-the blue. Many unusual features and I will do a post on them.

Though this graphic is in Spanish it should be easy enough to decipher.

The five designated cardinals are:

Jean Zerbo, Archbishop of Bamako, Mali.

Juan Josè Omella Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona, Spain.

Anders Arborelius, O.C.D., Bishop of Stockholm, Sweden.

Loius Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun, of the Institute Voluntas Dei, Titular Bishop of Acque Nuove di Proconsulare, Apostolic Vicar of Paské, Laos.

Gregorio Rosa Chávez, Titular Bishop of Mulli, auxiliary of San Salvador, El Salvador.

Monday, August 8, 2016 Is ‘Día Internacional del Orgasmo Femenino’ — International Day Of The Female Orgasm.

by Anura Guruge

femaleorgasm20161111

I hope you did not miss yesterday’s “National Orgasm Day” 2016.

The good news is another one is coming next Monday. It is a recognized and celebrated holiday in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Spain and Norway. And this year it will be during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil!

It is a holiday, established as a municipal law, by an elected Brazilian ‘Councilor’, in Brazil, in 2007.

So this is the 10th coming so to speak.

You can read all about it on pages 20 – 21 in my “Orgasms: 101 Facts & Trivia” book.
