I Wearing A Taco Hat — “Make America Taco Again”.

I think it is fairly self-explanatory.

At our ‘local’ (meaning 40-minutes away) seasonal Halloween store. I guess in today’s USA a Taco hat is considered scary.

I guess my coloring is just right to be a spicy taco.

Taken with my brand new Sony RX100 II. Second day with it. The Concord, N.H., ‘Burlington Coat Factory’ store. Amazing the visual delights, just in terms of merchandize, in a store like this. A treat if you happen to have a camera in your hand.

Wow. From what I can piece together it finally became available, at Amazon, at the end of August 2015. Basically a month later than promised. Not sure what happened.

Around the same time, August 28, the Sony Online Store went DARK — supposedly per their strategic plan. From what I can see Sony no longer sells online DIRECTLY. They refer you to the likes of Amazon and Cameta Camera. This might have had something to do with a HUGE data breach suffered by Sony.

So now you just have Sony.com. I do not think it is still ready for primetime though it looks quite impressive. I can’t find the RX10 Mk II on that site! Scary.

I am glad I went with the Sony a77 Mk II as opposed to the RX 10 Mk II. So far, so good. I like it. I like its feel. Still trying to understand it!

She is into crafts and she made all of these — and more — on her own volition without much help from Deanna, other than with the final touches to the 4-poster that required the use of a staple gun. She made the cutest little LAPTOP — which folds and has a keyboard. But she hides it at night and I haven’t got a picture of it yet. I do need to take more pictures.

Yes, I have taken her to the “American Girl Doll” store in New York.
We did that on our way to Philadelphia to pick up the Jaguar XJ8.

Circle Restaurant, Epsom Traffic Circle, Rte 28, in Epson, NH: I Was Impressed. Now On My Radar.

Some of our other favorite restaurants in NH:
1. Red Arrow Diner, Manchester — Apr. 8, 2012.
2. Sea Bird, Wolfeboro — Dec. 10, 2012.
3. Giuseppe’s, Meredith — Oct. 11, 2012.

After getting foiled at the stupid Manchester Science Museum yesterday, we were at a loose end. Deanna suggested that we go to the Huge ‘Goodwill’ store they have on Rte 3, close to Merrimack. So I cut across town and got there. Yes, we then, and Deanna will claim that it was mainly me, proceeded to spent 4 times what it would have cost at the museum. I still felt kind of guilty that the kids didn’t get to go to the museum — though they did get a (as usual) very nice lunch at the ‘Red Arrow Diner’ — and even got to sit and eat with a local, business ‘VIP’. It was a good lunch.

The kids, as ever, wanted to go to another restaurant — but, Teischan didn’t want to go to “Applebee’s” because we had just been their on Tuesday (in Tilton). So, I am driving back on Rte 28 thinking where to go. I was thinking of stopping at “Dominicks” (near Barnstead) where we had eaten a few times before. Then I sailed around the circle and was proceedings along Rte 28 when I drove past the Circle Restaurant.

We had had breakfast there before. I always thought it was only open for breakfast and lunch. But, as I was driving past I saw cars and lights. There was no traffic, so I pulled a U.

Glad we went. It was fun. It was good. It was cheap — especially the red wine at $2.75 a glass! I had two and got Deanna to drive home.

Warm place — in all aspects. Very friendly. Sense of fun.

Good, decent food. Nothing pretentious. Prices just right. Kids liked it.

Since I am off carbs, I had the meat loaf and a salad. It was good. That they don’t charge $6 to $12 for a glass of house wine definitely appealed to me. I even commended them on it. Even at that they are making a profit — since we are here talking ‘no name’ house wine, that they can buy in 5 gallon boxes for $12.99. Bravo. [By the way, I have lost 10 pounds in a month. Deanna is livid.]

They are on my list, and as such we will go back.

Google Maps 'street view'. It must have been dusk when they drove by.

The next day’s Google Doodle for Cecilia May Gibbs kind of went unnoticed and unappreciated.

Googledoodlesstore

Since this IS the ultra-commercialized Google, yes, there is a Google Doodle STORE where you can buy … skateboards with Doodles!

I remembered the Maria Montessori doodle from August 31, 2012, which I wrote about. Here are SOME of what you can get with that Doodle … including U.S. postage. Amazing. Pretty amazing.

GoogleGames

If there was a GAME associated with the Doodle, it is THERE … accessible via the Doodle. So here is the Hurdles Game made popular on August 7, 2012 as part of the London Summer Olympics. ENJOY. Loads more.
