Cleverest Vanity Plate Ever — & It Is A ‘New Hampshire’ Plate.

It was on a SUV parked at our beach this morning.

I had to take a double take. I first thought it said ‘Venal’ & thought that that was quite ‘ballsy’. Then, I got it right.

WOW. Was I impressed. In ‘New Hampshire’? I am sure that a majority of folks in New Hampshire have NO IDEA what the word means. Many may even claim that they have never heard it (which, however, is unlikely to be true).

WAIT FOR IT.

It was on a white, U.S. GMC mid-size SUV.

Image from GMC Website.

Yes, it was INDEED an ‘Equinox‘.

Get it: Vernal Equinox, i.e., Spring (March) Equinox, ‘vernal‘ the Latin for ‘Spring related‘.

How clever. I was so impressed. I have NOT seen that plate before, BUT the Equinox was on our beach. I had a dog with me & it was past 10am. So, I didn’t dare venture to the beach. Dogs are not allowed after 10am (I think (or maybe it is even earlier)). It could have been somebody visiting a neighbor. I would LOVE to meet the owner. I think it is a Mum. There were only two vehicles parked & I could hear lots of kids on the beach.

My hat off to whoever came up with this. Bravo. Thank YOU. Made my day.

Here is the supreme IRONY. In September 2020, in EXACTLY the same spot as this Equinox was parked I saw this. Now that lacked class.

Quite The Provocative Maine Vanity Plate — Do You Get It?

Saw this last Saturday, at a school, in St. George, Maine (South of Rockland). Took me a second to work it out. Did you get it? The ‘BG’ is for BIG & the ‘FM’ stands for ‘Female’.

I was surprised. I would have thought that there were guidelines to prevent vanity plates like this.

In the same parking lot, and there was a basketball game in progress, I also saw these two, one another vanity plate and the other a bumper sticker.

I found the vanity plate amusing. You get that one right? Obviously a fella with major identity and security issues.

Is God Supposed To Be Disabled — Or Is That Just A Quirky New Hampshire Thing?

In front of us, on Loudon Road, Concord, NH at 4:24pm, today.

Rather old Chrysler Grand Caravan driven by a silver-haired lady.

We had one of those too. So, we had the same minivan as God? Pretty cool.

At least it wasn’t German.

New Hampshire disabled license plate.

No question. This is NOT a ‘PhotoShop‘, hoax or early April Fool’s Joke. This was kosher.

Not sure what to make of it.

Am I supposed to believe that this is God’s minivan and that she is disabled? That seems incongruous. The ‘+’ is often used in NH vanity plates as a space filler.

Another interpretation is that it is the (or a ) disabled PLUS God. That makes more sense. But, if I was permanently disabled, as opposed to temporarily (we hope), I wouldn’t be too chummy with God. I would want to know: “God, why I?“. “What did I do that was so bad?“. “What about one of your miracles?

Now there is something else. NH DMV, quite rightly, as some guidelines, though this is all it says on their Website: “Certain letter/character combinations, such as H8, will not be allowed”.

I am surprised that ‘God’ was permitted. But, this is indeed ‘Live Free OR Die’ New Hampshire.

So this gets curiouser. So, ‘+God’ is in Concord. ~40 miles away, in Alton, we have “God’s Final Word“. Do you think they get together. Both minivans. Very strange.
