It is in Waterville Valley. We haven’t been to Waterville in a decade. So that would explain why we didn’t know about this.

I happened to stumble upon it because I saw in the NH Liquor Store magazine that there was wine tasting.
I checked out the wine tasting I was feeling a bit parched and found that it was at this center!

We now plan to go check it out — with or without the wine.

In the January 11 post I talked about ‘Cervino’ ski resort in Italy, on the side of Mount Matterhorn and the 16 mile ski trail that they used to have. Deanna took Devanee for her free ski boarding lesson at Gunstock on Tuesday and came home with a nice picture of the Gunstock ski trails. Now I know it is NOT a fair comparison, very much chalk to cheese. But, this might explain why it took me quite a few years to get used to NH ski resorts and during that time I would ONLY ski Loon, Waterville Valley or Bretton Woods; Loon my favorite.

So here is Gunstock (which I have now come to like quite a bit, my legs not up to 7 hours of vigorous skiing a day).

So now to Cervino. I found this online. Not sure how good it is. The 16 mile trail that I used to do, every morning during the week I would go there for, is on the right, at the top … looping down, all the way to the village. Now that I see it on the map, I remember ‘Plateau Rosa‘. Notice, that they don’t make much snow in Cervino.
