They are GOOD FOLK.

Definitely more charitable than I! I REFUSE to celebrate the Summer Solstice. I HATE the Summer Solstice. It depresses I NO END. Winter is coming. Days are getting shorter.

Yikes. I can’t wait for the Winter Solstice. Ahhhh! Revel.

I HATE The Summer Solstice. My LEAST Favorite Day Of The Year. Tells You That Winter Is Coming!

by Anura Guruge

2020 Summer Solstice (my least favorite day of the year) is on June 20.

We will have 15 hours & 23 minutes of daylight.

OK, I will grant YOU that you need to live in the Arctic Circle, as I do, to appreciate this.

The Summer Solstice is TRULY depressing. In YOUR face that days will start getting shorter within 20-hours! Yes, days get shorter as of tomorrow.

I hate the Summer Solstice.

I love, I adore the Winter Solstice. Now that is a HOLIDAY.

Think about it.

We Have Gained Nearly 1.75 Hours Of Daylight In New Hampshire Since The Winter Solstice 2-Months Ago.

Today
10 hours and 48 minutes of Daylight.

IF you live in New Hampshire I hope (I really do) that this has NOT escaped you.

It is so obvious and, moreover, WONDERFUL.

It is still light at 5:30 in the evening. Heaven!

I love it. I am a Sun Worshipper as my TAN testifies.

Enjoy.

It will keep on getting better until that DREADED, horrible day in June when winter turns the corner!

Welcome Yule!

MY Favorite Day of the Year.

Days start to get Longer.

The Winter Solstice, the SHORTEST DAY of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

Evenings have ALREADY started to get longer — as of December 12, 2019!

It is sunrise that continues to be tardy.

Notice that sunrise does NOT get earlier following the Solstice!

If anything it continues to get later and later.

It is LATER SUNSETS that are making the daylight longer.

Sunrise does not start getting earlier until January.

Welcome Yule!

Winter Solstice 2019 Is A Month Away And I Persevere With My One-Man Defiance Of Winter Darkness.

by Anura Guruge

From 2-years ago.

I will NOT let winter darkness get the better of I. I will prevail. I will defy the darkness, spit on it.

The Winter Solstice, my FAVORITE DAY of the year, is just over a month away.

Yes, the Revels are nearly here to help herald in the momentous day. Yes, of course we are going. Haven’t missed a Revels in decades.

So, I, with the help of rechargeable batteries, prove to the world that darkness can be kept at Bay.

Let there be LIGHT.
